Sorry if this has been discussed before, I haven't noticed it if it has.

You started all 14 nations but many fell out quickly. The problem with my script was that you were just as likely to fall out as anyone else. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

It's funny, but even though I can't really think of a good reason why there shouldn't be more than one of the same nation in Dom II, I still kind of like it that you can only have one of each nation.

What are the main reasons why this would be a desirable idea for people?

*edit - BTW I love the idea of mystery opponents. This would be a really great fun option to add.

Again, immense strategic depth to game-play would be added whilst the central premise of the game would also be supported and taken to another level.

Pretend to be the pretender God of a nation pretending to Godhood status - in other words, a power struggle within a power struggle!

I would have liked to have seen a nation being used more than once in a game....especially since there are now themes that even diversify the nations themselves....

but, i guess the devs also wanted more than 1 nation begin used also....i guess....

I suppose if you were getting tired of the game and really wanted to you might try and mod a nation to be a rebel Version of another nation. Whatever you couldnt quite shift could become the storyline about why those are variants in the one group.

could be done (with some work around) with a small utility which would modify the script file of a map.

I have made an utility for Doms I (DFC, you can grab it on Sunray's site), and intent to upgrade it for doms II, with some scripting features.
