<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Nope. He's dead, Jim. Ritual of Rebirth doesn't work on commanders who were undead, with the exception of remummifying commanders who are mummies.

The only ones which are sure to be useful for anyone at all, no matter what context, is heroic quickness and heroic magic resistance.
<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Iron Will is always a good thing, but Heroic Quickness is double-edged: When it gets high enough, a spellcasting unit will ignore its script after casting its first two spells and do its "final" order as its remaining moves for that turn. This can actually be dangerous, as an mage-SC will then buff itself partially, launch itself into the fray unfinished, and then try to buff while standing in the face of the enemy.

Heroic Toughness is another one that I don't think anyone complains about getting, and then there's one more. Lots of free HPs, and extra armor never hurt - at least not anyone who was active enough to be getting into the HoF. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

A shame that some of them aren't given out more often, or more appropriately. For instance - I've seen Heroic Research exactly _once_, in hundreds of HoF awards. That's one that ought to show up more often on mages, seems to me. Undead General - I've seen that one twice.

Heroic Precision - another that should probably show up on mages more often, and probably on scouts / spies / assassins.

Oh, and Valor and Undead General really _ought_ to allow an assassin or scout to lead regular units / undead.

Hmm. What if you give a magic item to a non-leader who has Heroic Undead Leadership? Does it then kick in and give you more than you'd get with the item alone?

Heroic strength, for instance, is useless for most mages, while heroic precision is useless for most melee combatants and heroic valor is often wasted on assassins.
The only ones which are sure to be useful for anyone at all, no matter what context, is heroic quickness and heroic magic resistance.

so lets say good heroic abilities for meeleechars and for magicians http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
