Re: Which Looks Better?
AT: I prfer the newly rendered right images. They may not have the same level of detail, but i gladly sacrifice that for better image quality. The latest ones IMHO look much clearer and visually pleasing.
Have a Merry Christmas Atrocities, Thanks for all the work you put into this Community. |

Re: Which Looks Better?
I agree exactly with Kamog. I like the ones on the right, except for the light cruiser.

Re: Which Looks Better?
AT, what are you using to produce your renders(assuming that it isn't DOGA)?
|
Re: Which Looks Better?
DOGA. Tis always DOGA. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif Not that DOGA is a bad tool, it really is a great tool.

Re: Which Looks Better?
OK, I was just wondering if you were using a separate program.
I don't knock DOGA. I'm a firm beleiver that it's the result that counts and your results have been amazing! |
Re: Which Looks Better?
What I would like to do is export my models, or convert them for use with other program and then see about lowering the polygon counts. Then render them and or export them to X format for use with SE V.
Ideally of course. |
Re: Which Looks Better?
Have you considered Deep Exploration from Right Hemisphere?
info link Check out their format conVersions. |
Re: Which Looks Better?
1 left - dont light the brown thing on the right
2 right - like the yellow in the bridge area better - light would illuminate forth not be so muted as the left 3 left - really close but left seems to have better defination, and right is rubbery as mentioned above. 4 right - darker.. dreads should be darker. All subjective though. They are both better then I could ever do. Rasorow |
Re: Which Looks Better?
Thanks,
The ships on the left are the exsisting set. The ones on the right are the same ships, same models, but rendered at a higher resolution and without the glare effect. Just so everyone knows. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif |
