Atrocities, I'm simply pointing out the paralells between election involving Dino Rossi and the election involving Al Gore. The Dino might have won, but got screwed over and now the courts, ironically which will be using the same decision that put Bush into power to keep Dino out of power.

But personally, I feel the Ukraine got it right when it came to questionable results. Throw out everything and pull a do-over.

Must we bring politics into this??

Kamog, I too had to read the Chrysalids in school, and in my opinion, it was one of the best books that we had to read. We've also had to read:

-The Chrysalids
-Deathwatch
-MacBeth
-Romeo & Juliet
-King Lear
-Lord of the Flies
-Death of a Salesman (absolutely the stupidest play ever)
-The Grapes of Wrath
-and some more books I can't remember right now.

Dam, sounds like you all got the good books.

At My School in the Uk we had to read:
Romeo and Julliet
Henry V
A Dolls House
A Taste of Honey
Lamb to the Slaughter
And Too Many Sherlock Holmes stories to remember.

Very few of them are any good IMHO Comapred to what I read normally in my own time. (granted most of it is Science Fiction http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Wow, really? I always thought it was pretty brilliant. I mean, nowadays, it might be a bit dated, but I thought it was extremely well done. I think if you see the play, rather than just read the book, it has a lot more punch.

The movie Version of the play with Dustin Hoffman and John Malkovich is excellent.

I agree, the Ukraine did the right thing and the truth was exposed. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif I hope that we do have a re-vote here in Washington. It is very important that the truth be known and that the people of the state have a voice in the out come that currently is reserved for those in King County. I will support who ever wins the re-vote in our state, and do hope that this time there is no question about who won outright.

I would also like to say that Dino Rossi is not acting anything like Mr. Gore had chosen to do after the 2000 Presidential election. I would like to point out that the Democrats here stated before the hand recount started, that if the hand recount goes against them, they would have no choice but to take the matter before the state courts. It is rather hypocritical of them to now begrudge Dino Rossi that right. A lot of wrong doing was committed in King County and the majority of the states residence know this and support the call for a re-vote.

The Democrats know that a re-vote will most likely go against them and therefore they do not want it to happen. So they are attempting to discredit Mr. Rossi by calling him a whiner. Remember, it was the Democrats who disputed the election and had the DNC pay for the hand recount. So far the RNC has not been involved in this matter.

I therefore ask you to keep an open mind about what is going on and look at what is being said and who is saying it. When the vast majority of the state supports a re-vote, and is ignored by the very people whom we placed into office, then we have no choice but to take the matter before the courts and seek the re-vote that way. Let the winner of the re-vote be our unquestioned leader. No matter who that turns out to be.
