You're still stuck on thinking this forum is anything like the mass of losers out there on most forums.

We don't have that many people, but I am being completely literal when I say that us forumers would race to post the fastest and most complete answers.
90% of them would be answered within 30 minutes, 24/7. There were a handful of memorable ones that were posted at 11:46, and answered at 11:46, 11:47, 11:49 and 11:50. With the latter posts being edited to say "Argh, I type too slow".
The thread would then fill up with posts about minor related details and corrections.
Then the posts would turn to strategies and tactics that were related to the subject, before finally fading out.

All because somebody asked "What does armor do?", there would be a deluge of info about all the types of armor, their side effect bonuses, the weapons used to defeat them, when it is worth researching them, and which combat strategy is best used with them.

Given your posts lately, you apparently have a very low opinion of us. While we did have issues between you and the forumers on that one unforgettable weekend, it is time to get over it. That was not personal; we would have responded the same to anybody who tried to do the same thing.

Compared to something like the counterstrike forums, you will see orders of magnitude fewer people, orders of magnitude faster and infinitely more useful answers.

Interesting theory but way off the mark. I have no low opinions of this forum and the people in it. Quite the contrary. Someday in a forum far far away I might fill in the blanks. But I totally recognize this as one of the great communities on the net.

I wasnt around then so that is good to hear. Im not convinced yet that the SEIV and SEV communities wont split as others have with sequels. So if we are going to be put into one forum for both then that willingness will be welcome.

The SEIV and SEV communities most definitely will split. The question is whether or not it would split here. Since Shrapnel isn't publishing SEV, there's little reason to think that new players who pick up SEV at mass retail stores will make their way here. My impression is that this particular forum is for people who started with SEIV (or before) and will soon move on to SEV. Occasionally, some new people may wander in, as you have by way of Dom2, but I doubt that there will be enough new people to split the forum here.

Which raises the question if Strategy first has any plans to provide a PBW type service to all its new players.

Strat-1st doesnt even seem to provide forums. All of the games seem to have forums but they all seem to be provided by the games developers. All different and on all different systems. Which is another reason to cherish these forums since my conversations with Aaron long ago about what it would take to "bring him back" leads me to believe that any forums he puts up will have quite a different feel to them.

I know that this forum is 90% of the traffic here (and 90% of the CPU and 90% of the archive). Thats alot of good info built up over the years

Coming in late (but what the heck!). Of all the forums I frequent, this one is hands down nicest and requires the least amount of warnings and barrings.
