Re: Multiple attacks on Commander question

amon hotep is nowhere near as useful as soulstone. all the others are nice, and useful, but nothing combines both very valuable ritual attacks and the most overwhelming battlefield magic. Its always amongst the very first artifacts to be forged... the others, like gatestone and amon hotep, can stay around being unbuilt for ages.

Arguably, that's because it's rarer to have the magic paths required for gatestone and amon hotep - you almost have to have astral on your pretender, and most people avoid that because of the Magic Duel issue. (But I know I often plan to get those in a long term game http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif )

gatestone is vastly expensive - while soulstone is barely a couple bags of peanuts http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

no, zooko was wrong, as W9 doesn't give 2 attacks per round.

W9 and the spell should stack - i don't think there's a 2 action limit from that, but i could be wrong i guess. The heroic ability stacks w/ anything, and can lead to some very nice effects http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Yep nothing like a Jotun Herse with Heroic Quickness 200%+, equipped with Soulstone of the Wolves and scripted to cast spells; even without Jade Armor or a W9 blessing, that's a lot on wolves on the field. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif (Had this going in one game - sadly, the nature blessing wound up making him go berserk eventually.)

You know, in the Calling All Players game I missed Ritual of Rebirthing my original prophet by two turns. Three turns ago. He was over 100% when he died... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif Sometimes I really hate how pretenders take space in HoF when they don't merit heroic abilities.

Soulstone, even if it is overpowered, who really wants to be leader of a bunch of dogs?

the do horrors on coordinating the actions of your units. Basicaly they are a great distraction for mages with hard hitting spells and SCs to work their stuff.

Quick question:

Frostbrand has 2 attacks in its profile. The Sword of Quickness also has 2 attacks in its profile. Is the 2 attacks for the sword of quickness in addition to the 2 actions per round? Or are those 2 actions reflected in the stats?

Re: Multiple attacks on Commander question

frostbrand doesn't have two attacks - perhaps you are reading it's attack value? (don't remember if that is two or not) - the attack value of a weapon is added to the attack value of the commander to determine the final attack value, which is then rolled against the target unit's defense...
