Favorite games eh? Well let me walk down memory lane..
1) Space Empires IV (current champ) 2) Master of Orion II 3) Ultimate Civilization (the one you could mod http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif ) 4) Diablo I/II (II needs better graphics/dungeons though, they were better in I) 5) Alpha Centauri 6) Baldurs Gate I/II/Icewind Dale etc. 7) Raid on Bungling Bay (c-64 http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif ) 8) Curse of the Azure Bonds (c-64) 9) Bards Tale I/II 10) Sinistar !!!!!(I LIVE! I HUNGER! RUN RUN!) http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/ima...ons/icon12.gif Ones that didn't make it but are still damn good: Birth of the Federation (too easy, Borg to damn hard), Master of Orion I (fond memories!), Civ I(the classic), Warlords II, Bandit Kingdoms of Ancient China (Nintendo), Romance of The Three Kingdoms IV (PS), and Ultima IV. oh yeah and Phantasy I, II, III for the C-64. ------------------ "The Empress took your name away," said Chance. Owen smiled coldly. "It wasn't hers to take. I'm a Deathstalker until I die. And we never forget a slight or an enemy." -Owen Deathstalker. |

Re: Off topic List your top/favorite 5-10 comp games
Leoric - I remember Defender OT Crown on the Amiga... brilliant game. Glorious graphics (at the time, anyway.)
I didn't realise we were going all the way back to the C64... anyone remember these: Hades Nebula - perfectly balanced scrolling shoot 'em up. RimRunner (I think) Something about giant lizards and ant people. Remember it being very very good. Alien (C64 Version) - The game of the film - So scary I was afraid to play it on my own. (I was only a kid http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif) ------------------ "Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?" "Uh, I think so Brain, but how are we gonna teach a goat to dance with flippers on? " |
Re: Off topic List your top/favorite 5-10 comp games
I canīt say that I have played that Version of ALIEN.
The reason why Iīm going back to C64 and AMIGA is that there were more dept in the games than it is now. Now days they are going for grafics only. It is a waste of my time and money. Leoric |
