Re: OT: perfect tactical combat engine: footage he
Glad you like http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif My christmas present for you (the video, not the game).
lol http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif btw, yeah Empire at War, what a WASTE of time. Cute graphics and nice flair, but depth is almost non-existant. I remember how i played skirmish after skirmish, until, aftr game #3 or #4 i noticed there is not much in terms of variety. |
Re: OT: perfect tactical combat engine: footage he
I am playing Empire Earth now, simply out of desperation at this point, and although the game is fun, I have noticed that I really miss stock SE V features such as being able to find units, scrap units, mothball, etc.
Odd how something as simple as a scrap or sort option can really improve a game, even two games that are not related but share simular characteristics. When the day comes that the big game companies decide to invest in a new generation of 4x games, I sincerely hope by that time the market will be far more friendly to them and that their efforts result in great sales and wonderfully rich and deeply involving games. But until then, thank you for the video and merry christmas. |

Re: OT: perfect tactical combat engine: footage he
I really wish to God that some developer will take a game like Space Empires and murge it with a game like Empire Earth. You have the best of 4x game design dedicated to earth conquest in an epic and long term replayable way.
Empire Earth is just way to limited and lacks any amount of replayability. Its the same thing over and over again. There is no depth, no lasting lust to play, just play it for a while and realize how limited it is compared to a 4x game. I want a 4x earth based conquest game! And NOT a Civilization game. Eeeeww. |
Re: OT: perfect tactical combat engine: footage he
Yeah, I can't get it to play with WMP or Realplayer, what am I doing wrong?
|
Re: OT: perfect tactical combat engine: footage he
I had no problems playing. Spectoarofdeath what are your system specs? Forget about realplayer..... nasty.
Use Media Player (Kinda ok but better than Real), or even WinAmp. |
