Well, some of them are fairly obvious, yes. But for example, I remade this particular pretender about 40x in a row, trying to get a title that lacked 2 specific titles, and included 1 specific title. It took many tries, but eventually I got one that was acceptable. It seems to me from the vast variety of titles that I received, that while you can absolutely say a little about any given pretender, you can't easily say a lot. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif

As for Gandalf's question - while renaming could be somewhat useful against unwary player (and for this you can check a list which is here somewhere), the specifics are such that there are no titles present for low Astral which can't be present for high one afaik. The only possibility I see is to have low Dominion which limits a number of titles, then with, e.g., extreme scales you can have just one Astral title which leaves your opponent guessing whether you actually have only low Astral - or you are just masking it!
As for (renaming?) trick being banned in MPs - don't think so. It's quite easy to see through, after all.

If you bring back a dead tartarian from the hall of Fame with ritual of rebirth, it will return as a giant mummy with lower stats but without shattered soul.

I wasn't even aware that you can bring back dead undead until I tried it for fun when the game was already decided.
