But armour of souls is not rarely used - because of the mr boost and low enc it's widely used.

Are you perhaps thinking of the Armor of Souls? Flesh Ward is B5 and Const-8.

The confusion is IW changed the Flesh Ward between Dom 2 and Dom 3. It used to be a cheap non-unique item providing reinvigoration, now it is a artifact with blood vengeance.
