Right. I have hopefully just setup the game on the llamaserver using the settings indicated on the status page, and the 'Orania' map (which I'm pretty sure is one of the standard maps that comes with Dominions, so no need to download it). So this should mean that it's ok to start uploading your Pretenders.

This is also the first time I have ever used the game creation options on the llamaserver, so apologies in advance if I make any mistakes. It seems pretty idiot proof, but I don't quite class myself as an idiot, so hope it's also proof for someone who falls somewhere between idiot and genius :)

I have updated the game status page with information regarding the hosting schedule, stales, AI etc. Can I please ask you all to read over it when you get a chance.

I will be out for most of the day, so hope there are no problems with how I've set the game up, and that uploading those Pretenders goes smoothly. Mine is still firmly in the 'how the bloody hell' stage :confused: Although please don't feel pressured into rushing your design to get it uploaded, since I know mine won't be sorted for a good 24 hours, and random nations always leads to a bit of extra time being needed during the design phase.

And a final reminder to everyone to make sure that the 'CBcomplete 1.41' mod is enabled BEFORE you start designing your Pretender. It can be found on the mods forum if you don't already have it, or click the link on the game status page (which is always the first post of the thread)

I should be able to check back on progress in about 12 hours or so.

Hrrrm well If you are going with the idea of no one knowing who's playing what nations I suppose you had better make that decision soon because I like many other people have fairly standard names for my Pretenders and its not all that difficult to look at pretender names and so Oh.. so and so uses that name, I know who's playing that nation.

This game will be sticking to the original plan of simply having random nations, without any of the extra RAND options of hidden player identities and no diplomacy etc.

I will be publishing the complete nation-player list on the status page on turn 2-3 (ie. once we know that turn 1 went off without a hitch).

But in the meantime, I've just noticed that the llamaserver allows you to see which nations Pretenders have already been uploaded, so I can't see much point in keeping secret the full list of random nations that were selected for this game. Since all that is currently achieving is that the later a player designs their Pretender, the more of an advantage they will have. So I will now be putting the full list of nations on the status page for everyone to see.

Will be looking for this game to start within the next 48hours. Which I think should be enough time for everyone to have managed to get a Pretender designed.

Yeah.. I kinda doubt anyone would be planning their pretender design around the fact that the great and :rolleyes:powerful:rolleyes: Agartha is in the game..

Looks like we are only waiting on two Pretenders now for this game to start. Agartha and Vanheim. I will go and PM them now to give them a friendly reminder :)
