Re: OT: Aaahhh! I\'ve been rated!
Think those are funny? We have the pleasure of towns like: Blue Balls and Intercourse out here in PA ( Pennsylvania, not Panama http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif ).
Also, thank you to whoever had rated me. Much appreciated http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif |
Re: OT: Aaahhh! I\'ve been rated!
Isn't there a town named Hell in Michigan?
|
Re: OT: Aaahhh! I\'ve been rated!
not much to do out there then, Val? maybe Intercourse was supposed to be something like Vinland. Make it sound good to lure in the settlers.

El Pueblo de Nuestra Senora la Reina de los Angeles de Porciuncula
I always liked that one. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif |
Re: OT: Aaahhh! I\'ve been rated!
I think the names have something to do with the Quakers or the Amish. I'd imagine they make a lot of money in T-Shirt sales.

Re: OT: Aaahhh! I\'ve been rated!
There is a town named hell somewhere, I know it is in one of those M states, just can't remember which one. I remember when I discovered that in 4th grade, ahhh, the hilarity never stopped.

Wondering if I have been rated, (not by my X).
I'll make a text file of interesting city names if folks post them here or email me. sir_gryphin@windingstream.com Enjoy |
Re: OT: Aaahhh! I\'ve been rated!
And there's a town in Arizona called Picket Wire which is a deformation from a french word: Purgatoire (purgatory).
Who knows if Ontario was really a native tribe name or something else altogether? |

The people who came to Arizona before the advent of air conditioning were truly an interesting breed. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif |
