NP with your commets. I prefer constructive critics rather than everybody saying it's cool.
That chunky blocky look may be exactly what I was looking for my Bruenna shipet to contrast with the organic looking snail shells they use.

Here's another Version of the same ship, it may still need a few more details.

It's not quite what I had in mind, but my wife loves it for some reason... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Andres, I like the ship, even if Geoschmo doesn't like it, you should use to create a whole ship set.

I would move the bridge module forward, so it's centred with the nascelles. Give the two turrets on the main hull their own little step or notch lower than the main hull. Make the middle prong shorter - about half the length, so it merges into the dark hull and then at the round portion in front, you could place a dish or torpedo/missile launcher. Also, make the nascelle wings on an angle about 15 degrees, so that the nascelles are slightly lower than the rest of the ship.

Seriously, this could be a great ship set. The basic parts of the ship lend themselves to easy and creative editing to build other ships, like carriers or transports. I think you should pursue this into a full set.

Out of curiosity (no jokes about how it killed the cat), what programs are y'all using to design the different ships and stuff? DoGA? Bryce?

I am not saying I don't like it. It's just that it's a little, um, "suggestive"? Or maybe I just have a dirty mind. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

I'm using Poser. It's totally unsuited to the job(for ships, pretty good for race pics) but I can't be bothered to learn anything else at the moment.

After looking at it myself, I'd go for the latter. If it were a single shaft it'd be one thing. But as it is, I don't see the problem. Your wife must be really thrilled by the rockets on the pads at NASA, Geo. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Is this more like?

For different ships extra engines can be added, or different surface details / scale.

If anyone else wants to try a ship, one of the ideas I had was a twin-hulled vessel (which I belive, in nautical circles, is called a "cat")

This is a great idea, and I'd love to enter. Don't expect any images this side of new year's though...

(BTW: Gizmo=lol!)
