I named them after the Tribe. But the race has no other relationship to the tribe past the name. Think about all the names we use for things in sci-fi, most are based on other names such as Remos & Romulos. Vulcan is another, so are the 12 tribes of Battlestar Galactica. A name is but a name.

Well Romulas and Remus and the Romulans do have some significince. Both the Romulans and the Romans are powerfull democratic empires ruled by a senate with a praetor.
Romulas and Remus where the names of the fictional feral twins who founded rome. Romulas and Remus are the planets the Romulans settled. ^__^ |
