Well, as completely wild speculation unbacked by any rumor or statement as of yet, I'm going to guess that some sort of gruesome accident occurred. This was, after all, his idea, so for him to suddenly and unexpectedly disappear, something unpleasant must have happened to him.

I looked back on this thread and the Last post made by JDS is june 29th. So almost two weeks without any word from him...Norfleet's idea sounds reasonable lol.

so we are going to start without JD? i`ve sent him mail earlier today, and have had no answer whatsoever. this is what i have in mind, we start without JD.. if anyone has something to say. better say it before 12 hours passes. after 12h you can launch it Norfleet. and if there is some rookie reading this and wants to take part in serious noobie action. you are welcome to join us. but we need only onew, and if nobody shows up. we play 7vs7.

ok so in less than 12 hours it is being launched with the settings below (copying from below post)

4 norfleet:
starting provinces1, ind7, normal richnes, magic sites 35, random events common, research normal, standard victory. one turn for 24h (quickhost). map aran. HoF 15.

(i cant handle the 12h qoickhost. im a working man and id stale every morning turns. because at mornings im physically wrecked and not able to think or do anything wise (and always just in time at work). sorry guys)

If a new player decides to join us soon the Vanheim player is the one that is MIA so they can choose either vanheim or any other nation that isnt on the list. Watch me land up two provinces away from someone else and die right away lmfao. Anyway our newbie game will let us see how a game is when you arent fighting the AI.

I can´t play my turn. I can connect to the server, but when I choose to play my turn (Abysia) I receive an error message : "Myloadmalloc: can't open ./mods/zenvision.dm" http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif
Is this a problem with my computer or with the server?

It's on 24h quickhost: Meaning that the game will force-host in 24 hours, or will quickhost when everyone has finished their turn. If it quickhosts, the timer is reset. You will never stale if you check at least once every 24h.

i talked to him this morning before the server was up, ill give him a call in a little bit to tell him the server is up and he can do his turn because he probably doesnt know he can do his turn already

There are no server outages, since I've been logged into the server continuously. You probably just had a router outage somewhere.

Well we can go to turn 6 when caleum does their turn.

I have a funny feeling that caelum took a hard hit because they had someone on the hall of fame when i checked it on turn 2. Now its indy 7 and I think caelum lost that blind attack they did on the first turn.

Man has the #1 hof spot with a mercenary. My god(mictlan) is 2nd with jotums prophet in 3rd and abysia god in 4th and my mercenary with 5th. Ulm has 3 of the lower end of the hof board.

I dont think anyone has run into each other yet so i assume nobody got screwed with their spawns.

There have only been 2 merc units in the game with me controlling one and man controlling the other one.

Maybe we will have some nation contact by turn 10 to get a better idea of how everyone is doing.
