The daily timer had gotten a little bit out of sync and was running at closer to 5 AM ET than 4 AM like it is supposed to. Since everyone had their turns in, I rejiggered it and now it is running at 3 AM.
Since the only one who ever submitted a turn anywhere close to the deadline is me, I doubt this will have much practical impact, but I thought I ought to mention it. Nuzzle. |

Guess I've been taking pages from Norfleet's book! Actually, my wealth is meager (less than 100 gold after upkeep). I did convert ONE gem with my shiny new Alchemy stone just to see how it worked. Can a master password be used by someone to view my nation to determine that the T'ien Ch'i are a legitimate, warmongering nation? If not, I'll quit the game. But I'm not quitting my other games.

I could send it to a third party and have them check on things. That said: There is a known bug with the Alchemist Stone where, if you use it to perform alchemy, and then remove it from the mage again afterward, you will trigger the cheat detection. Not sure how to proceed from here. |

Yes, something is wrong in the DNS. I don't control this unfortunately, so all I can do is wait for it to come back.
Everyone use the IP: 24.8.118.21 for now. I am sorry djtool that you weren't able to connect. But anyone that has problems, and doesn't want to stale, needs to either post in the forum or find me on IRC, and I will make an accomodation for you. As of now everyone has turned so I think we are in pretty good shape. |

Yes,server is down and I wasnt able to do(send) my turn because of this.
I guess that Sheap did stop it in order to change the hosting schedule as soon as he has the time to do it. |

Sadly, he got somewhat lucky this turn - killed Stonehenge twice, making it difficult for the great undead hope of Man to come back in an occupied capital. (His luck was in that my own wrathful skies killed the lich the first time - WS was supposed to go off in a different province.)
I think I've been doing enough damage that I _think_ Vanheim won't have too much of a problem with deaf, dumb, blind kids who sure play a mean pinball. Er, with a bunch of diseased blind Firbolgs, Bane Lords, etc, who don't have an army with them anymore. The Tien Chi do not need Man's assistance in losing this one. We have chosen a course of mediocracy, and bravely sail the seas of fate. The vaults of Monkeydust house a number of poorly applied devices. Were we a business, Bankruptcy Court would be common-place. Our Armies starve while druids sit upon chests of nature gems.
Still, The T'ien Ch'i glow with Karma, as they remain a power capable of rebounding from random events! As for Vanheim. I'd suspect T'ien Ch'i is Last on they're list of 'things to take care of'. YC,its Mind Hunt,costing only 2 astral pearls.
Together with at least 1 penetration item,I get a minium of 13 penetration value per caster ,which is compared to Magic resistance.Then 2 six sided dices are thrown for both and added to each number.So its possible to kill even Sc`s with over 20 MR,when you are very lucky. Note,that the spell doesnt work if the opponent has an astral mage in the province where it is aimed on. In this case,the caster gets feebleminded and no mind hunt is done. Your Sc`s all were lacking the Amulet of Magic Resistance,in addition to the magic scale we both have(subtracts another 1 from MR),so that Mind Hunt was quite effective indeed http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif |

As much as I'd like to pretend I have a chance in this game, if we were playing with a reasonable 'victory by provinces' limit, you would have already won, Mardagg. I think I will play a turn or two more then call it quits if things don't start improving.

The Marignon AI is playing quite well ,thats why I was not able to use some of my special forces against Ulm so far.
I already killed or undead mastered around 300 vampires permanently in the Last 3 turns and now the AI surprisingly starts fielding masses of decent quality staff,like fire snakes and mechanical men. The best he could do,since Vampires proved to be very ineffective,because all my armies there had been well prepared against this type of unit. But its only a matter of time until I can throw much more armies against you. Btw,Fiends of Darkness are the nightmare of Vampires! Each has two magical attacks and in connection with Rush of Strength,this is killing lots of vampires in no time.
