Someone knows why Caelum went AI?
It has at least 1 Air Queen active (prophetized) even if I suppose Caelum has all 3 of them. There's no ingame nor forum notice.

For what I know there's no spell to horror mark unless in battle.
Or there's a site like the Vale of Infinite Horror that horror marks your commanders in the province (has a chance of), or you're using horror marking items.

frosted flake (Caelum) is playing in another game I am in, and he seems to be present and acounted for in that one. Did he just go AI this turn?

ff has now gone AI in the other game we are both in, also without an explanation.

I'm not sure what to make of this, perhaps he is just gone for a few turns, didn't want to pause the game, and will be back, or maybe he is living up to his name and is gone for good.

Anyone know him? Should we do anything about this, or just let it ride?

Well, Jottpe has just staled. By the graphs, I'm guessing that Pythium is just about been knocked out of the game. I have no problem with people setting a losing position to AI, but boy it ticks me off to see people just walking away from game, as if the 15 other people playing the game don't exist. I apologize for the stale, I wasn't able to connect to the server yesterday but thought it wouldn't matter as I would just play my turn today before the hosting, (what with caelium making a 48hr host every time anyway). However I got home several hours later then I anticipated, (and the server hosted several hours before I thought it would at ten). So sorry to tick you off you Thufir.

Actually, I'm the one who should be apologizing, I spoke too soon. I see now from the turn results that you are now out of the game - certainly one stale before being knocked out is no big deal. What I was expecting is a behavior I've seen a large number of times, where about 5-10 turns before the knockout blow comes, a player gets depressed and disappears, without telling anyone.

While I didn't pay much attention to Pythium's fate (being at the far corner of the world, where I was certainly having enough problems in my little corner), I would have to guess that in fact you fought it out to the end, minus only a single turn. For this you should be congratulated. My apologies for my premature declaration.

I am away from thursday to monday. I know someone who can substitute, but I would rather he only had to take just one turn, so could we change to 4 day QH or something?

Looking at the graphs "massacre" seems a little strong.

Four or so turns ago he sent me a message, saying that if I didn't join him and two others in an already (3 on 1) ongoing war with someone, me and him would be at war. He then said that I would sorely loose, if I attacked him instead of joining this would-be 4 on 1 battle. I'm playing Abysia and their starting position is horrible (on this old-Version Faerūn), and I'm totally behind on most of the graphs, and when I finally attack someone - after doing some diplomacy to get the upper hand in spite of my own lackings - they just go AI.

I am highly surprised.

Not to dig up old stuff, but there are two options here: The Vale of Infinite Horror (horror marks plus misfortune scale effect) or Hall of Flayed Skins (which among other things gives horror marks). Both are unique sites, so you just had bad luck. Just like anyone who gets one of the four disease sites is unlucky, they're all unique (and Crown of Darkness is certainly not something to complain about anyway).

I was wondering why use the oldest possible map anyway, it's screwed up in so many ways I can't even begin to list them. People should just toss the map file (and the targa) used to start this game, or at least refrain from using it for new games and using the newer ones with correct borders and such instead. I've got Vanheim and I sure as hell found out just how badly I'd screwed them up. Result is that I'm still behind on most everything and will not be in competition for winning this game no matter what I do. Doesn't mean that I don't have fangs in case anybody gets ideas, though.

It's kind of funny really. I have a fortress there, and had a small army parked there for quite a while before I noticed what was going on. Now that entire army is horror marked. Wonder what I should use them for?

Horror marks are meaningless unless somebody starts dropping them on you (or unless you are wielding the Forbidden Light or standing under a Dome of Corruption), so use them as you would unmarked troops. They'll get killed soon enough.

Umm, some weirdness here. I had a mage searching a province for magic sites. No search happened. I attacked a border province with Mictlan. No attack happened. I cast a werewolve attack on a Tien Chi province. No attack occured. Maybe I went in asleep and cancelled all those moves, but I don't think so.

Turn never played at all. I went in to the turn a few times to check certain things, and I think I must have accidentally hit "redo from start" the Last time, not noticed it, and exited, thereby ganking myself.

I've a problem in scouting.

My scouts doesn't report anymore of the troops inside the province they're in, nor tells me how is organized the province defence.

I'm still at 2.14, because I don't know if Mosehansen has patched or not.
Someone else has the same problem?

Welp - both 2.14 and 2.15 my scouts are all telling me that "We have no reports on enemy forces in this province" - something is broken; I noticed this some time ago with one particular scout, and now none of them are giving reports.

Same to me.

In fact I've attacked you with a scout (the one who didn't reported from the province).
The turn next I ordered to attack every single scout stopped to work ... mmm ... someone has intercepeted their monthly payment perhaps? ^^

I fear the map is experiencing problems for too many units (ermor has huge armies ... time ago I lost some single player game because the units where too many that the game couldn't handle them all ... but iirc IW should have raised the unit cap for games)

I could agree to 7 day quickhost, but if the players manage to take their turns, why to slow down the game since there're guys that are already staling since some turns?

Someone has tried to PM or email them?

Christmas, Cohen, a lot of people aren't going to be available for games for the next week or so. I've staled a couiple of turns by accident, but it hasn't had any real effect, because I'm in the process of crashing and burning really fast now. I'll be gone in another ten or fifteen turns, no matter what I do, but I'll stick it out to the end.

You're not the only one, Lingchih, the server needs a restart. I was rather surprised that this is the first time, because the Back to the Fray game on the Cradle map has needed at least half a dozen restarts by turn 100.

Not that it matters that much to me, I'll be dead in another two turns, three at the most. And Ulm shall feel my wrath from the grave!

And so ends the legend of Nenrachir, the Dragon God of Vanheim, with wind whistling through the plundered halls of Helhalla. I'm gone the next turn, or if I survive one more by some miracle, the turn after. But I shall have my revenge against Ulm from the grave!

It was a fun game, even if I was hamstrung by my own screwed up geography on this map file.

What's up with this game? I had an income of 700 or so last turn, this turn I only have an income of 80! And this turn also the host computer accused Jotunheim of having an excess income?
