Bugger. I ran into you again Jot. I thought I was moving away.

I will stop moving in that direction completely until I hear where abouts you are.

Re: Vampires, anyone?

bleh another couple of giants toasted. Is it random who fights the indies? Seems to me I always first kill the indies to get kicked around by your queen.

Mind if I at least take the province? there is only one buffer province between it and my capital.

And what´s up with the scouts? watched c´tis attacking an indie province with a lone scout and they all ran away.
NO there was NO castle there.

Calistas October 14th, 2004 06:33 PM

Re: Vampires, anyone?

Yes, please take it. It has one Province Defence (to stave off.. bad events i guess). Then let us consider our border static? You might want to wait a turn before you take it or could you run into my queen who is leaving?

Maybe he had zapped the leader there so they just turned tail and ran???

What clever zappyness did you use my old chum?

Why, empoisoners, of course! No big secret, that...

Mosehansen

Hey, with Mosehansen's web-interface down and many players having problems connecting, do you think it would be feasible for someone to post a notification here whenever a new turn is up?

Re: mosehansen Faerun, again.

I have to go away at short notice Early Wednesday until Friday afternoon - I am hoping you can hold the game until then.

Sorry, Thanks

Re: mosehansen Faerun, again.

anatoli, its done. i took off the quickhost. that should do it.

Soapyfrog October 20th, 2004 06:21 PM

Re: mosehansen Faerun, again.

Out of curiosity, why take quickhost off?

The current situation, everyone has completed their turns including anatoli11, why not let the turn host so we can all work on our next turn?

I will be gone for the weekend, so if you could leave quickhost at 48 hours until monday it would be great.

what is it with mictlan?

Re: mosehansen Faerun, again.

I just sent Ygorl an e-mail inquiry pertaining to the matter.

Re: mosehansen Faerun, again.

?does anyone know when you use "fire & retreat" and you win the battle do your archers remain in the hex or do you have to go to surrounding province and collect them?
(Last time i used this option they scattered but that was a few patches ago).

Cohen October 26th, 2004 09:07 PM

Re: mosehansen Faerun, again.

The archers will flee, and scatter in the surrounding provinces.
Not so useful because you'll waste a lot of time regrouping them unless you've a lone bordering province with a commander ready to pick them up.

Jurri October 28th, 2004 01:30 PM

Re: mosehansen Faerun, again.

No word from Ygorl. Should we put the game on hold until a sub can be found?

limbo October 28th, 2004 04:46 PM

Re: mosehansen Faerun, again.

im asking my friend to take control over the mictlan. what about ulm? is he still around? i think that ulm staled Last turn.

edit: Anaconda is taking over mictlan! if you had deals with mictlan, you should inform him about them.
but if mictlan has a password we have a problem..

Ygorl October 29th, 2004 03:21 AM

Re: mosehansen Faerun, again.

I'm back. Very sorry about that. I was in San Diego with no internet access for a week, which wasn't quite how I'd planned things.
I wonder if anybody knows where my pearls and blood slaves went? I'm pretty sure I had more slaves, and I know I had more pearls, and perhaps other things that I'm not remembering. But if, say, Anaconda handed them out to other folks, would you mind too terribly handing them back?

Cohen October 29th, 2004 04:38 AM

Re: mosehansen Faerun, again.

I'vent received nor slaves nor pearls ...

Re: mosehansen Faerun, again.

Not me-"had more slaves, and I know I had more pearls"
?cashed in for cash or items?

?i am worried about long ermor turns in future, does save and quit, hold your moves without triggering the turn done for hosting?
?and is castles a must build for ermor (terrible units vs really bad and/or more of them?) cash is pretty tight so i need to spend it well.

Cohen October 29th, 2004 04:07 PM

Re: mosehansen Faerun, again.

You'll need Castles:
Better and More units, protect your Temples.

I'm afraid not, am not sure though. Here's what I do:
When you connect to server it downloads your turn file after inserting your password. If you disconnect from the choose nation screen, you can do your turn offline (just choose 'Play an existing game') and then connect to the server again after you are done. It will automatically upload your turn after inserting password. If it's really tight with the deadline, you can use the web-interface to check when it hosts, it seems to give the hosting time to the minute in the Last hour before hosting.

Does that make any sense?

Re: mosehansen Faerun, again.

i havent check the forums lately. sorry for that. so anaconda made deals when playing with mictlan. i received a fine amount of slaves from him in exchange for gold. i can trade them them back in a while if you wish. but for the gems, i dont know. maybe he made some other deals as well. i can ask him when i see him. im not sure if he played one or more turns. my gues is 2.
could it be that he has casted some ritual spells?

and server is restarted now.

sorry for constantly restarting our game. this is because i am unable to get in the iternet from my o´wn comp wich is where the game is running. problems will be fixed pretty soon. sorry.

Re: mosehansen Faerun, again.

I'll be away this Saturday. I should be back in time to do the next turn (I've done the current turn - no problem there), but I would appreciate, if you could hold the next turn until Sunday night (GMT +1) if I'm in danger of a stale turn.

Thanks

I think the rampaging undead hordes of Ermor have something to do with Pangaea going AI

Ermor-dogpile!!!! Naturally, I can't come, 'cause I'm on the other side of the world and have a lame leg, but everyone else: quick, before it's too late!! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif

So what do we do with Ulm? Should we turn him AI or let limbo sub him for now and find a permanent sub quickly? Is it even possible to get a sub without distributing the master-password around, assuming that Ulm is password protected?

rex_havok November 9th, 2004 08:34 PM

Re: Stalings et al.

i had a nap w/ pan
i think, but not sure, that ulm and pangaea may been after the same stuff. maybe they killed each other?
i have a nap w/ all my neighbour and no problems other then a newbe mistakes w/ diplomacy and man (Knudsen).

i only see one hex of ulm but no movement from my veiw.
i don't think ulm or pan have done well but hard to say.

BTW its very cold up here and if you want a vaction home the lizards have some lovely swamp land they would like to sell you for your new theme park.(warm and wet sounds good)

Sorry to hear about your lame leg. I hope you take a good long rest on the other side of the world and let you leg have some rest http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
