Another turn up!

^^

When shall we react @ vanheim?

Thursday or maybe today?

GriffinOfBuerrig July 12th, 2005 04:05 PM

Another turn up! Vanheim back!

Ok, so he seems to be back ;-)

Another turn up!

thanks for the booties ermor http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

I'll trade earth boots and a negotiable number of gems for one of those pots that feed an army (or any other item that gives a good supply bonus). There's not a lot of food in the undead lands http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

New turn is up!

Are you all also are using the link direct to

Re: Another turn up! Vanheim back!

I noticed that Burden of Time is still up, even after I tried it a 2nd time right befoe I left. Did it not get dispelled? I think that time I put 82 or so into the dispel (so 52 over the min).

So, I will try again, and need more astral income, if any can be spared from the other nations. I'm getting sick of it still be around (literally), and I would love to try and dispel it, again. So, donations needed/accepted.

GriffinOfBuerrig July 20th, 2005 11:25 AM

Re: Another turn up! Vanheim back!

And all astral gems you give to me i will use to dispell the well of misery!

Shmonk July 20th, 2005 11:41 PM

I\'ll save my astral for my Dispel, Mr Griffin

Just waiting on Abysia, I believe, before the next turn.

Cainehill July 21st, 2005 01:21 AM

Re: I\'ll save my astral for my Dispel, Mr Griffin

New turn is up ( my turns may not be the fastest for a time - first days on a new programming consultant gig, and working my arse off to come up to speed fast enough to have it last a while ).

Edit : However, my next turn is also now in.

Shmonk July 21st, 2005 10:20 PM

Re: I\'ll save my astral for my Dispel, Mr Griffin

New turn. AND....

The damned enchantment was FINALLY dispelled. I hope it wasn't for nothing. Any donations are welcome to compensate me for my astral.

GriffinOfBuerrig July 22nd, 2005 07:32 AM

Re: I\'ll save my astral for my Dispel, Mr Griffin

Gratulations: I casted Burden of time with 75 extra Gems, Mr Shmonk, that was a hard magical task you handled.

*chofs*

Shmonk July 22nd, 2005 11:52 AM

Re: I\'ll save my astral for my Dispel, Mr Griffin

I finally got it right then. The first dispel had 31 extra gems. The 2nd one 53 extra gems, and then this last one took 78 or so extra gems. Damn! I didn't think you had the gem income to put that much extra gems into it at such an early turn. Okay, it wasn't that early, but still.

Of course, it's not that big of a deal now, considering there are 4 other globals up.

GriffinOfBuerrig July 22nd, 2005 02:50 PM

Re: I\'ll save my astral for my Dispel, Mr Griffin

Cainehill,I hope you make your turn within the next 4 hours, otherwise i have to wait until tomorrow *würg* <- I am so courios about this game all the time!

I was suprised: your dispel was anonymous and i also did not notice any try!

Shmonk July 26th, 2005 12:17 AM

Re: I\'ll save my astral for my Dispel, Mr Griffin

New turn is up (as of 2 hours ago).

GriffinOfBuerrig July 27th, 2005 01:32 PM

Mr Griffin is in vacation

Die happy!

Cainehill August 1st, 2005 02:38 PM

Re: Mr Griffin is in vacation

Only 15 hours for Griffin's brother to take the turn.

GriffinOfBuerrig August 7th, 2005 04:36 AM

Mr Griffin is back

Heyda, i am back, i think there was no stale!

...second nation terminated...

Shmonk August 8th, 2005 07:11 PM

Re: Mr Griffin is back

Welcome back! Now we're just waiting on Vanheim for this next turn. And checking Mosehansen and the forum here, I don't know if we know who is controlling that nation (set to Anonymous on Mose) at all. Hmm... it's the mystery player!

Cainehill August 9th, 2005 11:07 AM

Re: Mr Griffin is back

New turn is up, with Vanheim taking his turn unless I'm mistaken.

GriffinOfBuerrig August 9th, 2005 11:38 AM

Re: Mr Griffin is back

Yes, he has taken his turn.

Shmonk August 11th, 2005 12:21 AM

Re: Mr Griffin is back

Ok, I have a question. If you see you are the last to take a turn in a TCP/IP game, wouldn't you submit that turn, wait a minute for the next turn to host, then play that turn as well? I thought it was fun the few times it happens to me, to play 2 turns back to back.

Just curious, because now we're waiting on Vanheim again (who was the last player the previous turn, and didn't play the turns back to back http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif)

Cainehill August 11th, 2005 03:23 AM

Re: Mr Griffin is back

Yes,those are awesome in the early game, and a lot of players would take the double turn right away, in the early game.

But when you're into turn 40+, and every turn takes a substantial amount of time to take, no, you can't really except (sp) some to take the next turn right away. They finallly get an hour to do the current turn, that doesn't mean they have another hour at that moment to do the next turn.

It'd be nice if it worked that way, but once you're past the first 20 turns or so, it's hard to realistically hope for.

Cainehill August 13th, 2005 01:32 PM

Re: Mr Griffin is back

Believe Vanheim staled again, which has me considering setting them to AI.

Any comments?

Shmonk August 13th, 2005 01:44 PM

stale Vanheim turns

I say if Vanheim stales again, then we set to AI (just to give him a chance to respond)?

Okay, I also don't like getting hit by his constant Ghost Rider attacks too. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif That's the real reason I like the stale option.

Whatever everyone else wants to do, set to AI before this turn ends if he doesn't submit a turn is fine.

Cainehill August 13th, 2005 04:08 PM

Re: stale Vanheim turns

Take it you didn't get hit by any ghost riders this turn, supporting the notion that he staled? (BTW, you're sure they're not Ermorian castings?)

Shmonk August 13th, 2005 06:57 PM

Re: stale Vanheim turns

Actually, I think's it Abysia who keeps hitting me with those Ghost Riders... he's in cahoots with Vanheim, I believe. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Cainehill August 14th, 2005 03:04 PM

Re: stale Vanheim turns

Heh. If only I had the death gem income. No, it'd be other things than ghost riders if it were me. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Shmonk August 14th, 2005 10:04 PM

Re: stale Vanheim turns

The next turn (69) is up. Woohoo!!

Shmonk August 16th, 2005 12:19 AM

Quick turns

WOW!! Now we're on turn 71. That was a quick 2 turns.

And who dispelled my Eyes of God!?! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/mad.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/mad.gif
I like that spell, first time I've cast it in a game.

Cainehill August 16th, 2005 10:57 PM

Re: Quick turns

New turn - and Ermor is just 1 VP away from victory http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Shmonk August 17th, 2005 11:31 AM

Re: Quick turns

Hmm.... I'll have to do something about that then. We can't have a victory just yet. I can't wait to see the next turn.

Tatataaa, i am so cool http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

BillPaxton August 18th, 2005 12:59 PM

Re: Quick turns

does it count if he has a province with a VP but I still hold the castle? If not, he's going to win next turn http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Cainehill August 18th, 2005 01:05 PM

Re: Quick turns

Has to hold the castle, I believe - simply besieging a victory point province doesn't give the VP, just as the person inside the fort keeps the magic sites.

And, I'm trying to drive him out of a VP province this turn, but he's also likely to take an empty aquatic VP province. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif We'll see.

GriffinOfBuerrig August 20th, 2005 01:40 PM

Re: Quick turns

I am out in the cinema now, can someone have a look if atlantis stales(now 33 minutes left)? I have conquert a lot of his provs so it can be that he had give up!

I am quite sure that he has staled and he has not many provs or troops left? Should we make him AI?

Shmonk August 21st, 2005 02:33 PM

Re: Quick turns

Can't tell if he staled or took his turn.

You're checking the forum while at the cinema? Now that's dedication. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif

GriffinOfBuerrig August 21st, 2005 02:54 PM

Re: Quick turns

No, but i have waited until 8 minutes before hosting and am quite sure;)

Cainehill August 22nd, 2005 10:37 AM

Re: Quick turns

With 240 minutes to go, looks like he may stale again. I'll keep an eye out.

BillPaxton August 22nd, 2005 12:44 PM

Re: Quick turns

No, sorry I staled but I did not mean to, I was away for the weekend http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

GriffinOfBuerrig August 22nd, 2005 01:50 PM

Re: Quick turns

Ok, sorry for my stale panic:=)

*chopatafatz*

Cainehill August 22nd, 2005 04:12 PM

Re: Quick turns

Your stale panic? Our stale panic, as him staling might let you grab a final victory point. And *mutter* Vanheim going AI didn't help, as now I've got to deal with them instead of laying the smack down on your filthy undead hordes with my bright clean shiny demons. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Cainehill August 22nd, 2005 11:37 PM

Re: Quick turns

And we're potentially cruising along again - Shmonk gets his turn in, and we'll have gone in less than 24 hours. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Shmonk August 22nd, 2005 11:41 PM

Re: Quick turns

And Shmonk does... and a new turn is up.

BillPaxton August 23rd, 2005 01:44 PM

Re: Quick turns

heh, dont worry about me. I dont have any VPS for him to take anymore. I'm dead, and you guys will soon be too. I dont think caelum realizes he only needs one more vp.

Cainehill August 23rd, 2005 02:40 PM

Re: Quick turns

Caelum knows - I "borrowed" a VP province from him in order to summon a fort there so Ermor couldn't just blip in and win. And I just recovered two VP provinces from Ermor in the last two turns, one on land and one in the water, so now he'd need two, and we need to begin the hard slog to take some of his fortified ones back in the face of ghost riders, etc.

Shmonk August 23rd, 2005 03:22 PM

Re: Quick turns

And, of course, he just put up that darn Arcane Nexus again. <grr>

I have to admit, this is the longest I've even been into a game (in SP I usually give up around turn 50 against the AI, just too many things happening). Now I know what it's like to get towards the end game. And everybody has SCs.

Ermor, watch out!! Arco is on the warpath.

Another turn is up.

GriffinOfBuerrig August 24th, 2005 11:26 AM

It is also the first time i am in such a long game:) But i am very happy know that i do not have taken a blue dragon with 3 pathes http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Arco is on the warpath? Emor never left it.

Shmonk August 24th, 2005 01:43 PM

Re: New Mosehansen Game, Paradise Lost

Ermor shmermor. I tell ya, seeing that many units in play is astouding. But then it's also interesting to see 3 commanders - 2 high priestesses and a Mystic - take out 70 undead in 3 or 4 turns, before retreating, of course.

That was a few turns ago, yet I highly enjoyed that battle, and learned a few things about taking on a high volume of undead with just commanders.
