Did you give me 3 turns notice before your spell started killing and wounding *all* of my troops, everywhere????? I would call that aggression, any day of the week. Who backstabbed who? No, sir, it was you who broke our agreement. |
Re: TCPIP Game
Well, I did not think of it that way. But seems like our quarrel will only proppell Triharte(or whatever his name is) to true godhod.

Re: TCPIP Game
I can't connect to the server, which will probably cause me to miss a turn (again).
|
Re: TCPIP Game
Looks like the server is back up. Plenty of time - 44 hours left on the clock.

The previous time the server didn't go down - the router reset and that caused the ip address to change. Using the address i'd have posted would have meant you were ok http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif The only reason turns will pass by is if the internet connection is lost before I realise - as long as people post here then in the majority of cases I should catch it. One lost turn from a network issue out of what must be 46 can't be bad http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif Tals |
Re: TCPIP Game
Really not my weekend http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif This time the routers power supply went pop. By luck I have a backup power supply so we're up and running. Only was down a few hours so I have no rest the schedule. 25 hours to host.

Re: TCPIP Game
No worries, Tals. You've done an excellent job hosting, and it is greatly appreciated.
|
Re: TCPIP Game
Oops.
As the issue isn't in doubt, I've just be playing around with what sort of anti-undead stuff I have available to see how it works. Note to self - always send *both* golem thugs, even if the opposition doesn't seem all that strong. |
Re: TCPIP Game
I think it is time for us to bow down our head to Trikharte. Surly there is nothing we can do to stop him from turning the earth into a flying nightmare. I even have some flying vinethingy outside my beautiful capital.
My guess is that I will have to greet them welcome this turn. Are there any plans for seting up a new server soon or is everyone bent on fighting til the bitter end? |
To continue, or not...
I wouldn't mind playing out 2 or 3 more turns, but you're certainly right that the end is not in doubt.
Of course, I don't think there been much doubt since, oh, about here: Quote:

Re: To continue, or not...
I'm happy to play this as long or as short as necessary tbh Caelum proved what a worthless bunch of scoundrels my troops are http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
In terms of a new game I wouldn't mind taking a break for a few weeks and then maybe start a new one? Tals |
Re: To continue, or not...
One of the AirQueens was vanquished this turn, trying to storm the Ermorian capitol without benefit of wrathful skies. She was not really equipped for mass hordes of undead and simply got overwhelmed and fatigued.
Of course, Caelum has 10x the gem income of the rest of us combined, so Aella will be back next turn, probably already fully equipped. |
Re: To continue, or not...
yeah I wanted to see if she could do it alone. Besides she got a crappy heroic ability so summoning her again wonīt hurt http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif.
She simply got killed by drain life fatigue, which ermor didnīt have in the last battle. My gem income is ~150+, normal income is 1,6k. I have a lot of the important artifacts, Iīm summoning the fifth ice devil right now and the tartarian factory is running at 1/turn, I will start wishing once I get a proper titan, research is mostly maxed out. Oh and Iīm out of global slots http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif. |
Re: To continue, or not...
St least I have learned some from this game. I do not think my captial wilkl hold out much longer but we are stockpiling just have a reinvigoration item in your next assault and Ermor will fall.
|
Re: To continue, or not...
I will be away for a week, but I doubt it would hurt my position much even if I stale for several turns.
|
Re: To continue, or not...
Well, I must thank Tals for being a great hoster but it seems like none of us are able to stand against Caelum.
So how many people are intrested in playing an other game? |
Re: To continue, or not...
Yeah the hosting was great. I donīt feel like continuing either.
|
Re: To continue, or not...
Likewise, thanks to Tals for hosting.
I went ahead and played the next turn. If Turin wanted to throw some of his SCs at my main army, I'd be interested in watching the battle. But otherwise I also see no reason to continue the game beyond that. I started out completely ignorant about R'lyeh. I learned a lot. I'd be interested in playing them again, though I will now have only stupidity as an excuse, not ignorance *and* stupidity. |
Re: To continue, or not...
hehe yeah likewise I marked my player as AI as I didn't want to ruin it for anyone else. I have to say congrats to Caelum really taught me a lot about Dominions 2 at the same time it taught me an aspect I don't particularly like http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif
So at the moment my interest in Dominions 2 has gone negative http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif Possibly not helped by Civ 4 release. Anyway may change my mind in next few weeks but at the mo i'm down on the game http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif Tals |

Re: To continue, or not...
Trikhatre the Ghost King ventured forth to smite the assembled might of R'lyeh. Alone. Just to show that he could. Armed with Magebane, protected by The Barrier, he and his gaudy 100hp, 26MR, 21str, 34def gazed across the field in the last moments before combat, looking supremely confident.
He never moved another muscle. Paralyzed before he could so much as speak an incantation, he looked somewhat less confident by the end of Round 1. By the end of Round 2 it was already over. I presume you can do better than that, Caelum. I'm hoping to see some fun fireworks. Should Ermor or Arco have a scout in the neighborhood and want to watch - the fun is in province 40. |
Re: To continue, or not...
well yeah he was a disappointment. I donīt really understand how he got paralyzed so early with his 26 MR.
what would you like next? Some devils? some titans? a horde of ghostriders? Or shall I just throw everything I have at your army? |
Re: To continue, or not...
Well, if it was a real war I'd expect to get a face full of Murdering Winter, Flames From the Sky and Ghost Riders - but that would be boring.
Bring on some SCs and let the sparks fly. Oh, I think he got paralyzed through the magic of open-ended d6. |
Re: To continue, or not...
well the ghost riders wouldnīt be much use , because the leaders would get paralyzed/killed easily. But I wonder how a combined force of illusions/ghostriders would work.
|
Re: To continue, or not...
I haven't been able to connect for days now . . . .
|
Re: To continue, or not...
As I am not playing I need to be told if you are having issues connecting. For some reason the game had locked. I've restarted it and the turn then genned - took about 1/2 hr to gen - so likelihood is it crashed during turn gen.
Anyway game back on enjoy. When you guys finish can someone please say http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif Tals |
Re: To continue, or not...
1 Attachment(s)
So after I crushed the remaining forces of RonD I guess itīs time to end this. I have attached my turn file, so all of you can experience the glory of the mighty Caelumnian army http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif .
|
Re: To continue, or not...
Yep, in keeping with the whole spirit of the game, Turin brought 685 troops against my 150. Guess I should have opened with master enslave....
Thanks for hosting, Tals - you did a bang-up job. |
