Kiss the blade, Pasha... the razorblade!
Such... unbridled hate! coobe: everyone (with the possible exception of the underwater lout) has at least 2 neighbors out of a geographic necessity, so you're hardly unique.
Pasha and KB, you really should take a good look at what you're doing: is it really alright for you to suggest assisted suicide to an impressionable fellow like coobe as an answer to his problems? Why, he might actually do it, and then what would you do? Could you shoulder the responsibility? Think about it, you two, and renounce your wicked ways before it's too late! |
Re: Kiss the blade, Pasha... the razorblade!
Bah! Silence Wyrmtongue! Coobe is a tiger not a kitten!

The Scaredy Cat and the Tiger
Wouldn't you be, Shovah, wouldn't you be?
I mean, sure, I can put on a brave face and say that you'll get yours even when I'm driven into a cage match with a tiger (not a kitten), but deep down inside I'm just a poor scared wretch. I could even go so far as to growl in anger something overtly aggressive and low-brow, like I'll devour both the dogboy and KissButt and defecate them all over the rest of you who wish me ill, but that would be just posturing. Likewise, I could curse you for calling me a coward, Shovah, perhaps with some colorful rhetoric involving your empty little head crushed under my bare feet, but wouldn't that be just overkill over some insignificant quip? Peace out |

Re: The Scaredy Cat and the Tiger
Silly jurri, you forget that my head is no longer empty as i filled it with jello at the end of my last game! *laughs maniacally*
Your soul shall be thrice cursed and when your mortal form is banished from this realm by the mighty forces of jomon your very essence shall burn in torment for eternity (or you could kick my ***, your choice big guy) |

Wackberry Jello perchance?

Re: Underwater warriors!
Can anyone explain to me why our esteemed host's uptight fanatical iron-bound meat-heads are outpacing everyone else in terms of learnin'?
It makes my bone'n'ice-addled noggin hurt just trying to make sense of it. |
Ulm\'s Wisdom
Dear Atlantis:
We in the Great Dominions of Ulm prize education because we recognize it as the foundation of our nation's prosperous future! It is sad that the children of Atlantis still learn their ABC's from stick scratchings in the dirt. Ulm: Where children are the life blood of the nation! Re: Ulm\'s Wisdom
****Shudder****
If that's your educational slogan, the world isn't prepared for an Ulmish anti-drug champaign. So how does this version play compaired with Dom2? I'll be ordering this week unless a credible source (You guys) convince me Dom3 isn't worth the money. -yc -yc |
Re: Ulm\'s Wisdom
YellowCactus, I at least can't do that. It plays nicely.

Re: Ulm\'s Wisdom
Its worth it and so much more. Possible reasons for fast ulmish learning: rainbow pretender, indy mages, research items or merc mages.

Help!
Help! I'm surrounded by mad squid!
Anyone not wanting to see the evil mad dominion of R'lyeh capture the victory point that rightfully belongs to me, please send gold/gems/items to Agartha. We will remember you should god ever wake up. Seriously, they're all over the place. Help me! You could be next! I'm talkin' to you, Arco! |
Re: Help!
Hey, don't you go around spreading lies like that, I've given you everything you could possibly want! I haven't attacked you, I let you have the VP between us, I even deliberately left you an open path for expansion on-land so you wouldn't feel boxed in. I really can't understand where this hostility you feel stems from, but I must say I'm starting to feel a bit threatened, which can't be good for either of us.
The same applies to you, Caduceus: I see no reason why we couldn't be friends. I gave you the VP between us as a peace offering and have made no hostile moves. You stay on your side of the border, I'll stay on mine. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif |

Re: Help!
I think I'm feeling threatened because of the SOUL-SUCKING INSANITY DOMINION pressing in on all sides. And you've got a pretender and I don't (that can't be fair). And all those...things...on my border. (What are they, anyway? Frogs? People? Frog-people? That ain't right, either...people and frogs aren't supposed to be mating, no sir.)
Red candles all over (shudder). I think the insanity is already starting. |
Re: Help!
Look, man, how is it our fault that your people are turning to our religion? I think it's time for some serious introspection here.
I won't lie, the cult of Ganon has a very attractive benefit package. Furthermore, I think it's completely disgraceful that you go around poking your big, fat nose into the affairs of the citizens of R'lyeh. What they do in the sanctity of their bedrooms is no business of yours whatsoever, and you'd do well to remember that. As for them residing on the border, I'd like to take this time to inform you that we here in R'lyeh believe in freedom. Freedom of choice. Those people are there because they want to be there. Perhaps they admire the mountainous scenery or enjoy the brisk, coastal air. Unlike you, we don't pry into the private lives of our citizens, and frankly we'd rather you didn't, either. If you don't love freedom, that's your choice, but you'd better give us ours or there'll be hell to pay. Good day, sir. |
Re: Help!
R'lyeh? Choice? Pfah! Why, it was not too many moons ago that I was walking down the street (one of our long, straight, beautifully paved underground streets), when a clean-cut gentleman in a white suit handed me some interesting literature in the form a self-published pamphlet. He was convinced that the end of the world was nigh, and that the apocalypse would come "gibbering, from the sea, in squamous, leprous, bulbous, creeping horror". As any sane man would do, I said, "Pshaw!" and walked on.
But then the frog-people started coming on-shore, with their odd languages, and odd cooking, and none of them working or paying taxes, either. Suddenly I realized the truth of what that kind gentleman was saying, and thus we swore: R'lyeh would be burned to the ground, or should be burned were it not underwater. That small point gave me some mental contortions for some time, I may say, until I realized we could do just as well by burying that twisted city under piles of very heavy rocks, of which we have many. In conclusion, I think my carefully reasoned arguments will sway any intelligent man/woman/beast/wyrm/etc. of the essential truth of the matter: R'lyeh is evil, we are good, and...wait...no, that about sums it up. Signing off, Agartha |
Re: Help!
Ah, so that's it. The cat's out of the bag and what it all comes down to is racism and Agarthan xenophobia. You don't speak our words and our food doesn't suit you so you deem yourselves superior. Our anarchist utopia is beyond the comprehension of your rock-filled brains so you fear us, and to overcome that fear you slander and threaten us, trying to turn the world against our people.
We are peaceful folk, but our patience is not endless. Bite your tongue, worm, or face the consequences. |
Turn 13
Turn 13 is out.
Deadline is Sunday night at 9pm Boston time. Pasha |
Re: Turn 13
You know, I see a lot of words, but all I hear are bubbles of hot air popping as they rise from the deeps. Blah, blah, blah.
By the way, worms are the slimy things with no arms or legs. You know, like your worshippers. Or some of them. We have heard from good authority that many of your so-called sacred beings have too many arms/legs/tentacles, while others have too few. We, the good people of Agartha, all have the proper number of limbs (4). |
Re: Turn 13
So be it. We extended our hand in friendship, but you would bite it as does a rabid cur. We have no medicine to cure the malignant rancor that plagues your minds and are forced to abandon hopes of amity between our two peoples. Nevertheless, we wish to... avoid needless bloodshed and will forgo the complete and utter extermination of the Agarthan taint that has afflicted the world for so long as the decision is in our hands.
You would do well to consider your future actions more carefully than you have your words up to this point. |

But those cries will not be answered, for you let all your neighbors die. The moral of the story: the coastline of a penninsula 2 hops away from LA R'lyeh and its awake pretender is, to put it mildly, not a good starting position. |
Re: Turn 14
Is Agartha truly at war?
|
Re: Turn 14
If they are, then it is a war we know nothing about. We are merely mustering the forces who were standing idly by on Agartha's borders. No hostile action has been taken and there is no cause for alarm.
Edit: Correction! My scouts have just informed me that the vile Agarthans have launched an unprovoked sneak attack, violating the sanctity of R'lyehian soil. We take this to be a declaration of war and will respond accordingly. |
Re: Turn 14
Truly a dastardly sneak attack? The media reports from the Ulm News Network (UNN) are sketchy. Any other news?
|
Re: Turn 14
Yea, verily, a dastardly sneak attack of the highest order executed by thundering pachyderms.
In other news, the pathetic speck of lint known as Agartha is soon to be brushed from the face of the Earth. Their armies will be destroyed and their populace slaughtered like so many swine for a midsummer feast. Let them serve as an example to the world at large of the fate of those who would commit unprovoked aggression against the people of R'lyeh. |
