At least I'm not the only one then...

Re: Ermor fights to the last zombie!

The isp went down for awhile, but it is now back up.
New ip: 67.42.205.124 same port.

I added about 24 hours to the time. Anyone need more than that?

miclan quit playing ?

Amhazair March 16th, 2007 03:13 PM

Re: Ermor fights to the last zombie!

Hmm... might be. He lost some serious battles from Ermor, it's possible he's loosing intrest. (but I have no true evidence, mind you)

Re: Ermor fights to the last zombie!

Im in need of fire and air gems. Anyone willing to trade ? (can offer items, nature, death, astral, earth gems).

Re: Ermor fights to the last zombie!

Anyone object to setting Mictlan to AI? this will be the 4th turn in a row that he has missed.

nah go ahead

Re: Ermor fights to the last zombie!

I am sorry guys, but I have RL things to deal with right now. I cannot take my turns for awhile, so I will set myself AI. It shouldn't mess things up too much, because I don't believe I am in an influential position. Good luck to the rest of the players.

Not as fast as me, lost my 2nd castle to Abysia and hes just breached a 3rd http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/Injured.gif

What I would give for some Tartarian SC's to match is Father Illearth, 2xIce Devils and Heliophagus, all fully equipped. Who knows what other blood royalty he's got?

Shame I am short by a few thousand research points... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

I have got a real cunning plan, its called leg it south as fast as possible... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif

Re: Ermor fights to the last zombie!

Nice, it looks like this will be an intresting turn to watch for me. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif

I also regret to inform you that so far that's all the blood nasties I got ready, though I might have gathered enough blood to summon another one this turn.

In any case, I hereby declare the charitable humanitarian red-cross bloodcollecting action opened in Abyssian lands. Anyone donating a bag of blood will receive a beautifull white plastic red-cross pen and a lollypop.

Meglobob April 2nd, 2007 03:37 PM

Call it a day and declare a winner?

It is my considered opinion that Abysia/Amhazair has probably won this game. His empire is truely vast and even through both myself, Ermor and Marignon are fighting him tooth and nail we are still losing ground.

I personally would be perfectly happy to call it a day and declare Abysia/Amhazair the winner.

What do the other players think?
Evilhomer - Oceania
Wazooking - Shinuyama
Jay Thomas - Marignon
Amhazair - Abysia
Meglobob - Ermor

Believe me I have thrown the kitchen sink at Abysia to try and stop him, so I am not conceding lightly.

If Evilhomer thinks he has a chance or Wazooking then I will continue and keep fighting Abysia for you but there really is no point in us all keep doing 2 hr+ turns when its just a question of Abysia/Amhazair grinding out a win.

Please post your comments.

Evilhomer April 2nd, 2007 04:08 PM

heh, amzahairs nation is smaller than mine, so no im not ready to concead yet =).

Huh? What? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif

It's only in the last few turns that I really started believing that the "amazingly frightening counterattack by the troops you used to beat Mictlan and will now beat the [censored] out of me" was not going to happen, and I'm finally getting convinced that I will eventually win the war against you (and Marignon) if left alone, but I've been convinced that Oceania was the strongest nation in the game for ages now (actually since you/Ermor started loosing ground to the Marignon/Mictlan alliance), and what I've seen of their war with Shuniyama hasn't done anything to change that.

Besides... No mere humans are capable of withstanding the Abysian fire... but tell me, what am I to do when faced with water? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/Sick.gif

P.S. And stop throwing murdering winters (or kitchen sinks)at me, it's unsporting. Just roll over and die, will ya? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Meglobob April 3rd, 2007 12:03 PM

Re: Call it a day and declare a winner?

Ok then, as Oceania/Evilhomer still thinks hes in with a chance I will keep trying to slow Abysia down.

Hopefully you two big boys will get it on soon, so the one true god can be proclaimed.

JayThomas April 3rd, 2007 01:23 PM

Re: Call it a day and declare a winner?

As will Marignon. We will not go wimpering into the night!

The upside: Upkeep costs getting lower.
The downside: So is income. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Evilhomer April 4th, 2007 01:45 PM

Re: Call it a day and declare a winner?

Just a friendly warning, 30 mins to host abysia.

Amhazair April 4th, 2007 02:28 PM

Re: Call it a day and declare a winner?

Blegh... I was aware of that fact (though I thought I had an hour or so), and had just finished my turn, but my connection froze when trying to connect to the server. (Which happens on occasion) By the time I had rebooted my computer and restored my connection I was too late. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

One of these days I'm going to have to agree with my mother that postponing everything till the last possible moment is not a good idea http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Edit: Damn my spelling

Amhazair April 5th, 2007 12:55 PM

Re: Call it a day and declare a winner?

I would like to ask a few hours extension on playing this turn. I won't manage to play my turn today, and tomorrow I arrive home from work only a short time before the timer expires. (and I'd also like to eat at some point http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif )

Wazooking April 5th, 2007 11:11 PM

Re: Call it a day and declare a winner?

Will reset the timer.

Amhazair April 6th, 2007 02:58 PM

Re: Call it a day and declare a winner?

Thanks, that even gave me time to eat before playing. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif

Which is good, since playing with an empty stomach is bad for patient tactical thinking http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

I'll upload my turn in a while.

Amhazair April 12th, 2007 01:27 PM

Re: Call it a day and declare a winner?

I seem to be unable to connect. Is the server down?

Edit: Still haven't been able to connect, and I'm going to bed now. I won't be able to try again before tomorrow evening after comming home from work.

Wazooking April 12th, 2007 09:31 PM

New IP

70.57.243.200
and I will reset the timer.

I'm computer illiterate, so I'm willing to listen to any suggestions.

That was the extent of my plans so far http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif

7 tries and couting...

Edit: 11th try did it. Intresting turn again.

Is it my setup or Amhazair's?

Yes, I have had to try to download upto 6 or so times.

I assumed it was because you are hosting the game on a older machine or have a slow internet connection but that's just a guess. Like Amhazair I am not very tech orientated, Gandalf Parker seems to be the helpful tech person around here in case you want to ask him.

Do you guys think my IP changes to much for a game?
67.42.206.115

Since the turn ran with several people stalling because they couldnt connect, I restored the backup copy which gets saved right before the hosting.

Even if you think you have done this turn, go ahead and check it.

Better a server with a changing IP than no server at all as far as I'm concerned. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif

It's not like anyone is dying because he can't submit his turn for a little while. (I think - never underestimate the powers of addiction, obviously)

JayThomas April 20th, 2007 09:33 AM

Re: New IP

I'll be on buisness travel from Apr 23 to Apr 26. I don't know if I'll have internet access during this time.

I'll set Marignon to AI prior to my departure. It's basically over for them anyway.

Thanks

with an astral gem income of 150 / turn i might have a shot at it http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/smile.gif ...but since it hurts abysia way more than me, I guess it stays up.
