Gratz on the first victory with Arco in any era! I believe that leaves only the monkeys winless in all eras among the original nations.
@Natpy- i arbitrarily set the minimum players for the HoH at 6 when i set it up so i have not counted Tyrande. |

I think there were one or two unlisted victories for Arco, it was said in several threads.
(There is also Atlantis remaining without victories here, but it had one in EA and a quasi one in LA -game stopped before end when it was first by far- in francophone games) |

Four games recorded
I seem to have neglected my duties and missed a few games, my apologies.
Gratz to Profanicus and Zeldor for being first on the board with Midgard and Mid TC. Should i put the team game winning nations in the winning nation tally? I didn't before, but i can't really think of a reason not to. |

tyrant, you have done a great community service by maintaining this list.
The more diluted it gets, however, the less useful a tool it becomes. If it is not too great a burden, my personal suggestion would be to maintain 3 categories: 1. Team Games 2. Games for newer Players 3. Normal mp games A breakdown into 3 categories allows some conclusions be drawn about the relative capabilities of various races in the large mp game setting. A team game really does not serve this goal, and newer players may be able to win games with races without facing communions, reverse communions, and the assortment of nastier things that experienced players will throw at you if they have the reigns of an s nation in the endgame. regardless of your decision, thank you for keeping the thread. |

Would not mind doing it, but other than self-declaration how would I differentiate the newbie games? For instance, should the first n games recorded be considered newbie games? When i first created this i combed through the forum for all the completed games that had threads that i could decipher, and I'd say those games were all newbie games. What about games with a bunch of inexperienced players and one or two ringers? There are a fair number of those.
To my mind, the number of players in the game is probably an even more important variable and i should have set the bar at 8 or 10 instead of 6. A nation that defeats five opponents has not been compared to even a third of the others. Then there's Mods. Should Mod games really be compared to regular ones? Also,many games go unreported, and many many games "stop" instead of ending and the reported winner is the leader at that point, as is determined by that group of players. I got no problem with that, but does it really say anything about the strength of a nation if it wins 'cause a particular small group of players decided the game should go to the person with, say, the best global or the biggest army? <shrug> I could go on at great length here, but i think that my point is close to obvious. The fact is that this list has curiosity value, but it ain't really the sort of hard data that permits either fine or definite conclusions. I often have dead time a work these days, so I will have a go at a revised list with obvious newbie games and smaller games combed out and post it separately. |

I remember when I played homm3 online years ago, they had a ladder system, that may help. I think the civ community had something similar, and a fella proposed one to the kohan community.

There was an attempt at a ladder once, but the large number of players in a proper Dom3 game plus the long duration makes it dodgey except for duels.

But Lanka had to be set to AI after the original player went AWOL, and the sub that was found decided not to continue playing. So I was declared the winner as the AI was my only rival. There's every chance I would still have won if the game had been played out properly, but every chance I wouldn't have won as well. Thought I'd mention it, since I'm not sure what the call is on this type of thing. |

Game had many hightlights including Arcane Nexus that almost the entire game. Marignon successfully conquering Oceania and Ryalla underwater. At the end, Marignon held 4 capitals and was sieging the 5. Agartha had 5 globals up. Thanks to all players. |
