Re: Turn Timing

Heh, from R'lyeh - Still wrapping my head around the nation, with a somewhat late start.

I will be out of town over the weekend for a conference without computer access, I will leave Friday morning, early and return Sunday afternoon, so will likely stale one turn unless someone knows someone who wants to take over for a single turn.

Cor2 September 26th, 2007 05:23 PM

Re: Turn Timing

The nation of Pangaea...errr... I mean I will gladly take over for Rlyeh. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/evil.gif

Re: Turn Timing

I suppose I could postpone on friday.. but as you're clearly not asking for a delay, I'll do nothing.

Re: Turn Timing

Ouch. that hurt.

Caduceus September 27th, 2007 04:33 PM

Re: Turn Timing

Well, I will be out of town without Dominions access - First weekend sans kids for us in over a year. I don't mind staling a few turns, honestly.

Lazy_Perfectionist September 27th, 2007 06:57 PM

Re: Turn Timing

Well... its no problem to postpone- but only if you ask.
Besides you can probably count on people not to take advantage if you announced your absence. Just consider it income time.

dmentd September 27th, 2007 07:57 PM

Ouch

Was that aimed at me? I got lucky this time. Next time, you will be better prepared for that assault. Of course, I am currently trying to figure out my next grand scheme...

Lazy_Perfectionist September 27th, 2007 08:54 PM

Re: Ouch

I don't know if my comments are aimed at anyone. I'm fair game- all my missed turns have been due to stupidity. Like five simultaneous games stupidity.

Now if I'd been on vacation or something? That's a hypothetical I won't bother with right now. Especially the vacation- I wish that was possible, not hypothetical.

So, peeps, since I haven't been in on this game, do you have any feedback to offer? Things you wished I setup differently? Graphs on? Graphs off? Winged monkeys doing the disco? Hallucinogens or random rambling?

dmentd September 27th, 2007 10:13 PM

Re: Ouch

Actually, my question was aimed at Cor2, which is why I changed the title. We had a fight, and I wanted to gloat while possible because eventually the shoe will beon the other foot and I will have to receive.

I think the game has been admin'ed well. When I had a technical problem, you responded. Other than the Ry'leh startup issue, it went well.

I admit I prefer to up the magic sites by 1 or 2 ticks to find more stuff. Everyone seems to leave it at default. Otherwise, I like it.

dmentd September 28th, 2007 11:43 AM

Cor2\'s House

Does anyone know directions to Pangea's house? Cor2 insists that his capital is in between the couch cushions and I just cannot seem to find it.

You know, it would be far more courteous to put your road signs in common instead of the Pangean script...

Cor2 September 28th, 2007 12:30 PM

Re: Cor2\'s House

LP. Your a great admin. the best I have ever experinced, not that I have played alot of mp.

And certainly a hell of alot better than I was, but I did have the awesome Lama server.

Cor2 September 29th, 2007 06:23 AM

Re: Cor2\'s House

It begins. Unleash the minatours of war.

oh yeah!

Q:What do you get if you set a minatour on fire?

A:A bad smell and an axe to the face. Ha ha ha.

(Okay so its not funny, sue me)

Re: Cor2\'s House

You see, you have no problems defeating my attack forces. Of course, I do have some ideas of my own to counter. Those minos do have a lot of HP though...

At least I killed more than 3.

Back in town.

Turns done, thanks for holding off.

Played miniature golf at Mt. Atlanticus: Minotaur Goff yesterday. Thought of you all http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Delay

Could we please delay the hosting of this game for 24 hours? Else I will likely stale again. Thanks.

Caduceus October 4th, 2007 11:35 AM

Re: Delay

Not to add to the cacophany of displeasure, but I will be out of town (again) this weekend for my marathon. Out on Friday, returning Monday. I have yet to find a replacement for these turn(s).

Lazy_Perfectionist October 5th, 2007 03:29 AM

Re: Delay

Forgot to mention- postponed until monday, 7:35 GMT. I'll probably be postponing a bit more, as 3 in the morning might be earlier than expected...

Cor2\'s House

Lets not play act this one. Caelum told you that Jotunheim was coming which is why he happily stabbed me in the back. I also did not stale this turn so I should fight a little better than a fish out of water. Hopefully I have a little good luck to make up for last turn.

Sorry, did not mean to upset you. How did i stab you in the back ? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif

Cor2 October 8th, 2007 05:24 PM

Re: Cor2\'s House

Oh , sorry I misread. Caelum stabbed you in the back not me, got it.

Caelum certainly did tell me, which is why I was able to get bands of revelers behind jotunheims front lines, not that they are anything more than an annoyance. But at least they are one hell of an annoyance.

Bragi Delay

Could we please delay this game for 24 hours? I will not be able to get to the turn until very late in the day today. Thanks.

Problem

I keep sending in my turn and the server is not accepting it. I sent it 6.5 hours ago and I sent it 5 minutes ago. Please help.

dmentd October 17th, 2007 08:30 AM

Re: Problem

I will not have time to work on this in the morning. Please delay the game so I can work on it tonight.

llamabeast October 17th, 2007 08:46 AM

Re: Problem

dmentd - you sent in the 2h file for last turn (46) rather than the current one (47). The server should have sent you an e-mail to that effect - did it not?

I'll postpone hosting by 12 hours.

dmentd October 17th, 2007 07:16 PM

Re: Problem

That was my error, and I apologize for burdening you with it. So you know, I did not get a message from the server explaining the problem, and I do not have any messages in my screened mail box.

BTW, since you are looking, I wanted to tell you that I am impressed with this server. The automated bot controlling these games runs very well. Thank you.

dmentd October 19th, 2007 03:00 PM

Delay Please

Would you please delay this game for 4 hours? When I get home from work I will be able to get to the turn. Thanks.

dmentd October 21st, 2007 07:31 PM

Llamaserver Issue

I think llamaserver is having a problem. I sent in my turn but it has not received it. It is also not updating. I was hoping to not stale the game.

Sensori October 21st, 2007 07:32 PM

Re: Llamaserver Issue

Keep checking on Mongoose to see if it runs or not...

I REALLY HOPE IT DOESN'T CUZ IT DIDN'T GET MY TURRRNNNN ARRGH

EDIT: So far so good, it passed the timer and still isn't refreshing... I'm hoping that it either

a) doesn't refresh at all until Llama checks his stuff,

b) when it starts refreshing, it realizes that the turns were sent BEFORE the system went haywire.

Since choice c would make me rather aggravated.

Cor2 October 30th, 2007 05:21 AM

Re: Llamaserver Issue

I just put out an add for a sub. School is being more time consuming than i had hoped. If there is no takers i will play it out.

Re: Llamaserver Issue

Well definitely stunk with that stale last turn...

Cor2 November 2nd, 2007 01:53 PM

Re: Llamaserver Issue

Baalz is going to sub for me. I will email him all the diplomacy info and relevant game history.

LP could you see that he gets the turns now? Thankyou.

Use bragi.20.dre at neverbox dot com for my turns please.

Cor2 November 3rd, 2007 12:33 AM

Baalz, I hope the summary was sufficient. Any questions and I will be around, just pm me.

Thanks eveyone for the great game! I wish i had more time. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

I staled, but swear I sent in my turn on time. Anyone else experience weirdness?

Cor2 November 4th, 2007 04:57 AM

Re: Bragi MA (resuming)

I just got the new turn, I guess it has not been shifted to BAALZ yet. I did not stale but it looks like Jotunheim did.

Baalz November 4th, 2007 02:52 PM

Re: Bragi MA (resuming)

Forward it to me if you would at the address above and I'll handle it.

Lazy_Perfectionist November 4th, 2007 04:16 PM

Re: Bragi MA (resuming)

Sorry about missing it. Got the pm, and made the change.

Cor2 November 5th, 2007 01:59 AM

Re: Bragi MA (resuming)

No problem LP. Your a great admin, thanks for doing it.

Baalz, i just forwarded it to you, don't know if it was redundant or not (if the server will auto send one).

Re: Bragi MA (resuming)

Internet woes at home - DSL or phone line is not working. You can host turn 67 if you want, but I will load my save on a zip drive and send it from work tomorrow morning if you can wait that long.

Lazy_Perfectionist December 4th, 2007 01:44 PM

Re: Bragi MA (resuming)

Postponed. Out of curiosity, do you have AT&T?

Caduceus December 5th, 2007 01:06 PM

Re: Bragi MA (resuming)

We do. But it turns out a truck hit the phone pole at the end of the block. Telephone was restored last night, but we got the wrong phone number. DSL still non-functional. Host without me while I sort this out. Of course, this was the day that satellite TV was supposed to be hooked up... Argh.

Caduceus December 13th, 2007 10:01 PM

Re: Bragi MA (resuming)

Can I get a re-send of the latest turn?

I'm trying to send mine and llama is hiccuping.

Baalz December 13th, 2007 10:09 PM

Re: Bragi MA (resuming)

You can request a resend from llamaserver.net

Caduceus December 14th, 2007 12:43 PM

Re: Bragi MA (resuming)

Sorry, I got confused. Turn will hopefully be done tonight by 9 EST, though there are a few other nations left as well.
