No, its not that- its just easier to conquer a person who's missing half the turns.

Re: Doom Chicken

Damn Bogus and his "heros"! Why do they follow me from MP to MP and attack the most important province at the most opportune time? Gaaaaar ! sob , weep.

Re: Doom Chicken

The glorious Nation of Yomi has in it's magnificence managed to invent and start forging Dwarven Hammers. For a moderate fee, even lesser races can enjoy the excellence of demonic craftmanship.

Make me an offer by PM. I have con4 so I can ofrge many other items, tell me if you're intrested. Althought I won't forge any SC items to my neighbours unless I'm convinced that I won't be seeing them agains soon...

I'll take the AGEIS and a few of those yomi killing swords http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif.

Re: Doom Chicken

What's an SC item? Pendant of Luck?Frost Brand? How do you know to what use the items are put?
And ya, some of them demon banes and the bell of cleansing mght be helpful for when the demons inevitably decide to persecute peaceful atlantis...

Re: Doom Chicken

Woah woah woah!

Anybody notice that Yomi has a unique artifact? isn't a little early for that? How ,why, when, where, who, quanto questa?

Lazy_Perfectionist August 29th, 2007 02:17 AM

Re: Doom Chicken

Fenrir's pelt? Yeah... leaving aside the issue of how that artifact got into their hands, that's going to be one mean thug. Assassination? No. Fear? No. Add in the Champion's trident, several levels of experience and a place in the hall of fame.... yikes.

I believe there's a special neutral province type where one of the neutrals has the cape. Or it's a random event, I can't remember. I do know I've run into it before.

Using the amazing power of logic, one can easily determine if some item is to be used on an SC.

I got that Fenrir's Belt after I crushed independent Lamia province. īThat guy also got a cool Heroic Abilty.. Keh Keh.

Oh, I also forgot to tell what I want for my forging services. Money is cool and so are gems (all types are welcomed).

Re: Doom Chicken

Yum! Nine Dark Knowledges, 0 sites found.

Valandil August 29th, 2007 02:40 PM

Re: Doom Chicken

I got five gems out of one level 2 mage searching a water province. Ice Isle and two lame 1 gem sites.

Burnsaber August 29th, 2007 02:44 PM

Re: Doom Chicken

Well, my awake rainbow pretender has searched 6 Forest/Mountain provinces and found... 4 sites (one of which doesn't produce gems.

Lazy_Perfectionist August 29th, 2007 06:19 PM

Re: Doom Chicken

I'm especially ticked I spent 27 gems on dark knowledge because I could have gotten 50~90 undead. That and its a miserable day at work.

Freakin miserable. I've got a freaking enchantment bonus site, and could have had hordes of undead. Nine casts of Dark Knowledge with zero results is not what I planned for. I maybe found one site, and that was with manual searching. I think I made a mistake in 'radar'-ing for sites this early. I should have just sent out searchers. I could spare the Reborn (D2) mages, since I have a cadre of Sauromancers with Skull Mentors handling my research load. But the inconvenience of moving those searchers, plus the thought I would find SOMETHING, plus the auto-remote search flaws, and I thought to take a shortcut. My mistake.

Sir_Dr_D August 29th, 2007 06:58 PM

Re: Doom Chicken

You think that is bad? Trying casting voice of tiamat a few times and only finding one fire site.

Valandil August 29th, 2007 07:25 PM

Re: Doom Chicken

Hmm. The Frogs seem to be out of room to expand, and their octopus god can't leave the water. First person to send me an amulet of the fish gets its cost back, plus insurance that the octopus won't attack them first.

Oh darn I missed my turn by 10 mins. Sorry for the hold up guys.

Lazy_Perfectionist August 30th, 2007 06:36 PM

Re: Turn timer

No problem, Cor2. Though I might suggest a change to a 26 or 30 hour turn cycle to avoid turn deadlines creeping earlier and earlier, Hadrian II

Valandil August 31st, 2007 12:24 AM

Re: Turn timer

Time zones are an annoyance though, aren't they...
I usualy do turns either when I wake up, or 5-10 minutes after hosting during the day, so I'd obviously prefer the shortest possible turn timer. OTOH, No-one enjoys stales, so I guess if its necessary I'd vote for pushing the timer to 30ish.

Cor2 August 31st, 2007 04:06 AM

Re: Turn timer

I am okay with leaving the timer where it is. I missed my turn simply because I missed it in my email. I don't think it will happen again.

If somebody needs it extended I am fine with that too. Just don't do it on my account.

Hadrian_II August 31st, 2007 05:02 AM

Re: Turn timer

As said in the game description, as soon as 3 people want a longer turn duration, i will extend it.

Lazy_Perfectionist August 31st, 2007 10:46 AM

Re: Turn timer

While I had my suggestion... I think I don't need longer turns yet. Each is going fairly quick.

Oh yes I am very afraid of your pretender. Please whatever you do don't attck me with him! he is sooo scary.:)

Re: Turn timer

I am impressed by the system graphs. Very impressed.
Somehow, Agartha - EA Agartha, nonetheless - has turned into the province leader.

One day, Szumo, you will have to share your secrets, if I have to bribe you to do an After Action Report.

Valandil September 1st, 2007 07:22 PM

Well, he has an awake immortal sc. That helps.

Well, i do have strong early game as a player. Not so good with late game unfortunately http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

As a little tip, i'll tell you i haven't recruited even one non-commander Pale One.

Re: Turn timer

It looks like Rlyeh is going to permastall. Is there a possibility for me to set him to AI? (as this is the first game i host on the llamaserver)

Szumo September 3rd, 2007 09:12 AM

Re: Turn timer

I believe only llamabeast can do that.

Re: EA PBEM *not yet named*

This sounds like a case for the FAQ! (see towards the end of the section on how to admin a game).

The answer is basically that noone but the player can do it without a faff, but you can do it.

I would do it myself to be helpful, but am moving house today so it's a little hectic!

Hadrian_II September 3rd, 2007 01:40 PM

Re: EA PBEM *not yet named*

Rlyeh played the last turn, so maybe he will play now without stales.

Valandil September 3rd, 2007 03:09 PM

Re: EA PBEM *not yet named*

If he persists, the mighty forces of Tsar Ivan will smite him, and bring fire upon him, until there shall be no more danger of staling!

Ouch. Jomon hutrt our feelings. Why have you betrayed us? Did an Oni put you up to this?

If you look at my position, you'll notice that I only have two paths where to expand. Either Agartha or You. Since you seem to be losing (at least according to graphs) the choice is easy. Prepare to be eaten!

Fair enough. i suggest dousing me in Ketchup.

I will be starting school tomorrow, and have somewhat less time. Although I should still be able to get my turns in, it might take awhile.

Re: EA PBEM Doom Chicken

Not to knock Sir_Dr_D because I understand from another thread that he's busy (I think he was apologising for being slow with his turns), but it looks like everyone else is playing at a pace that would make us get through about two turns a day. Everytime I look at llamaserver it seems like Ryleh is the only turn missing. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Hadrian_II September 4th, 2007 08:30 PM

Re: EA PBEM Doom Chicken

Its his right to use all the 24h reserved for 1 turn, but it would be nice if he is the latest to submit his turn that he could do his next turn shortly after the host.
