I do not see the logical statements I made regarding anything and nothing, so I presume they have been purged.
Consider the dichotomy of confusion explicated in the Beetles song : You say yes, I say no, you say why, I say I dont know..... You really need to watch out for those contractions like dont and aint.... I much prefer to dont know rather than be stupid..... |

Re: OT - bored with gaming ? Get philosophy!
Would you like to know another big problem I see around here ? Well I will tell you even if you do not want to know. The problem which I see is the insistence on fixed states. For example, I recieved a request to fill out a questionaire. The only choices were yes or no. This is a sure sign of limited intellects. Some other options :
1) I do not know 2) I do not care 3) Why should I tell you 4) What difference does it make 5) All of the above 6) None of the above 7) Something else entirely 8) A horse of a different color 9) I would not tell you in a solid minute 10) Go jump in a lake Whistling is good for you, try it out sometimes. Before the word was the call. ..... ..... ..... You must be playing with your own ding a ling Whistle that simple phrase and write down all the word variations it evokes. |

I am amused by Aol. I am physically a very male man. I need a very female woman, not a magazine for women.
I will now mention yet another song. I think the author may well have been someone like Jim Croce. The song includes the word string "time in a bottle". |

Magic is fantasy. This is reality. If you do not know how to get connected, then I certainly will not tell you, except that it requires a certain twisty mentality and lots of help. So Harry Potter had better beware.

Re: OT - bored with gaming ? Get philosophy!
I guess not. What I remember is the one little song. "Mein Heut It Hat Drie Echen" or however the thing is spelled. To make a long story short, I was in classes for "academically talented" students from the 3-7 grades. Along the way there were occasional bouts of foreign language including French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portugese, Esperanto and what not. Typically the teachers would introduce songs with a translation as an example of learning from context. These were not seriously recieved by the students and were taken as vacation time. By contrast hundreds of hours were spent on sentence decomposition and structure diagramming. I did rather well in those areas, but the two dimensional schema did not properly represent many things I wanted to say. I was "larned proper grammer" and went along for the sake of a good grade.....

Re: OT - bored with gaming ? Get philosophy!
Since you probably misunderstood, may I suggest that you check the etymology of "frigging" and notice what the basis is. It is amusing to note that "copulate" is the later term yet is the only interpretation known in the modern word.
As I said before, when I try, the frigging power fails, but from what I observe it may well be that there is already power enough to spare running wild here.... |
Re: OT - bored with gaming ? Get philosophy!
Just in case it is someone one the forum probing around, I will mention that the mild itch and minor tension I feel at the moment is a waste of yuour time. I was struck flat to the floor several days ago and recovered quite handily.
I know how to speculate and I will grab for all the gusto I need. I will not submit to anything at all under any circumstances. I have a friendly interest in the situation here and am willing to cooperate for appropriate compensations. The first project I had in mind was a compueter game to teach the proper usage of English. I leave spelling "errors" intact. As I said before, the keyboard I am using is in some ways wiser than I. The net here is different from where I grew up. Your lyrics are not the same..... |
Re: OT - bored with gaming ? Get philosophy!
As with most of the things I have posted, this is over your heads at the forum.
You own the net, but I own a brain. Perhaps if I had waited until deep purple was available you would have won. You have a lot to learn, the data structure I gave was just a starting point. So revise to your heart's content, I will take what I need and leave the rest. When this task is done I will have the very best. Ah you do not like that, but you are just a mild headache now. The more you attack, the bigger I get, because I take whatsoever comes. Edit I see that you all have a sense of humor too. That is excellent! http://legacy.sheltonbbs.com/~jmauk/sh78.html http://legacy.sheltonbbs.com/~jmauk/sh80.html The star spangled banner is bigger than you can rightly imagine. Do not be afraid to defend Liberty. However, you should also remember that there is more to Homo Sapiens than man or nation. There is also more to Life than Homo Sapiens.... Re: OT - bored with gaming ? Get philosophy!
I have a question for you Richard, and anyone else who is willing to answer. Do you really want everything linked together ? I can access areas which are not consistent with Reality, Order, Scientific Method. If I do so then to prevent disruption I will have to provide a field theory which is consistent, so that those who do not want such things in their lives can reject them.
Is this what I am supposed to do ? If so then what do I get besides the hollow satisfaction of having really turned everything upside down ? Is there anyone here who had the Beetles not the Beatles ? Is there anyone who remembers the song which starts : 1234Shanananananananananana ? |

I was delighted by what I saw the Last time I looked. Unfortunately, beginning a couple of weeks ago, I was booted off by Aol every time I visited a star trek site, so I stopped trying...
What I saw at the women musician's site was more than sufficient for the inspiration I needed.... Here is something which I think that all of you will enjoy. As a qualifier I say that when the Berlin wall came down I think that the Germans finally reached adulthood, or close enough for government work.... http://www.acronet.net/~robokopp/english/colbogey.mid As a side note, the tune was labeled MAJOR BOGEY and was the theme song for "The Bridge Over The River Kwai" the Last time I saw it. As I said before, things are somewhat different here, but still pretty much the same as where I started.... Lonnie Courtney Clay |

I found a link for 'bridge over the river kwai'. It is a pivotal film about prisoners resisting oppression, and is very inspirational if you have never seen it.
