Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Indeed it would, and I don't mind doing my turns if no-one else needs the extension, it would just let me drink more beer, not having to worry about turns to do ;)

vfb April 3rd, 2009 06:05 AM

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Oh, you can do both at once, you know! Takes the edge of off those difficult decisions.

Quitti April 3rd, 2009 06:24 AM

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

True, but if I'm going around enjoying the life with my friends (=drinking, sauna, all the good stuff), I won't be using my laptop (most probably) for doing that :)

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

If we decide to take a few days off for the Easter Holiday it is fine with me.

Lets just try and define how long we will be off so we don't have stragglers (like me)getting back late and holding things up....

Thanks to you all for the extension this weekend!!!:D

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

What about switching to 48hr turns for the week? I'll take my lap top with me and endevour to find a net connection to get my turns in?

vfb April 4th, 2009 05:12 AM

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Fine by me! Since it's more than just one player, I don't even object to turning off the timer for the week.

Quitti April 4th, 2009 04:15 PM

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Allright, as a compromise I'll set the timer for 100 hours (bit more than 4 days) for the next week, after that I'll put it back as 52 hours, since it's going to be turn 25+ already, unless majority of the players want to keep it @ 27h.

Quickhosting will still be on, so if everyone does their turns, it'll host. Which I hope they will :)

Good one!

Quitti April 8th, 2009 08:53 AM

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

I'll be leaving to Estonia now, so I hope everyone's going to behave well here. Hosting is still on 100h and next one will be around friday 1800 GMT.

I won't be around these forums much for the coming week - so inform me well in advance if there's anything for me to do.

I'm off early in the morning (10th) Back next friday (16th). I will endevour to get a turn or 2 in to keep things moving.

Hope you all get a few eggs each.

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Abysia offers air gems for trade. We will take fire, earth or astral in trade, with great rates of 5:4 for the earth/astral, 1:1 for fire

Quitti April 10th, 2009 07:08 AM

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Next turn will host on early tue-wed night, so no hurries...

Trumanator April 14th, 2009 10:29 PM

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Is there any reason to continue having the hosting time at 100 hrs? Its tough to remain interested when the turns come so far apart.

GrudgeBringer April 14th, 2009 10:49 PM

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

I agree

Quitti April 15th, 2009 06:18 AM

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

True, I'll swap it down to 52 hours (2 days and 4 hours). I just came back from Estonia myself so I can concentrate on dom3 more again ;)

small edit:
The game will now host at 17:55 GMT on Friday April 17th.

Just as a remainder for all of the players.

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Atlantis will now be controlled by Digress (as soon as Quitti reads my PM). Please address all Atlantis correspondence to him, thanks!

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

I need an extension (not on the turn hosting thursday evening) but on the one hosting over the weekend.

I am leaving town Friday Morning 6 am and returning Sunday night 10 PM

Could I please have an extension.

Next turn will be extended.

Pythium is looking for Death gems. Offering everything but fire gems, would prefer to trade using earth or air gems. Please send a pm with an offer.

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

I may need a delay later this week. I am going in for corrective eye surgery (lasik) on Thursday, and am not sure how long until I'm seeing well enough to play. My guess is two days.

I'll play every turn I have available Thursday morning my time (late wed night US), which means nothing will be due for at least a day, but may not be able to play turns then, and even if I can probably shouldn't be staring at a screen.

So, if we can either put a delay in then, or if the admin can keep an eye out and if I haven't got a turn in I'd really appreciate it. Obviously as soon as I'm ok I'll play turns and post.

If for whatever reason I'm not back longer than people are prepared to wait, I'll wear a stale or two - don't think I've vanished and waste time searching for an AI.

If I don't come back for ages please look up a good eye specialist for me because mine obviously hasn't done his job right!

Thanks,
Dragar

Machaka- Do you really want to keep this up? Cuz believe me, I can hurt you much more than you think, even if I go down. It may be a bit of a David and Goliath situation, but Golems are not going to save you.

We'll postpone the hosting for Dragar on friday so that next turn is due on monday. You guys will have a nice weekend without having to go Beyond. (Apologies for the lousy attempt on humor, it's 6am and I haven't slept at all yet).

Dragar can see!! Amazingly quick recovery :) haven't been withuot glasses for 18 years

game on whenever you are ready, unless everyone is keen on the break

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Great, so no postpone for you probably then ;) Next turn is due early saturday morning, unless someone else wants an extension. I also configured the reminder emails to bounce off 12h before hosting (If I get complaints, I can chance them back to 6-9 hours). And also updated the main post to show who's with us and who's not anymore.

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Sorry for staling the last couple turns. My internet went on the fritz. Would it be preferable for me to find a sub or to just set myself AI? I don't really want to continue, as I'm a bit burned out anyway.

Quitti May 29th, 2009 05:17 AM

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Well, if you don't want to play until the bitter end, you could set yourself AI. Or if you really think your nation is in for the long run, you could find a sub, but on the other hand you have just 7 provinces at the moment.

Trumanator May 29th, 2009 09:05 PM

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Well I've set myself to AI.

However, I thought I'd touch off some last minute havoc...

THE ULTIMATE GATEWAY IS IN PROV. 64!!! Southern province of Borneo, the roundish island that I own completely.

So there, hopefully I'll get to watch as everyone turns and races for it :D

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Oh god.

C'Tis is being raped by Pythium.

As a warning to the rest of you.

He has the gorgon shield, sword of algurematur (or however you spell that), the death gem scythe. I'm sure he has the chalice and many other artifacts. He also has an air queen, an earth king, an SC God, and a tartarian.

If someone can put some serious hurt on Pythium, ASAP, I would be willing to pay. C'Tis has 600 or so gems just sitting around doing nothing, plus cash.

Otherwise we'll simply do our best to hold back Pythium. But this fight isn't going to last very long.

Be careful of earthquake, fog warriors, and ridiculous *** beatings.

If no one moves agaisnt Pythium, and soon, he'll control a huge amount of gem income, some important discount sites, and three capitals (mine, Caelum's, Nieflhem's)

Pythium already has 3 capitals, he took Agartha's a long time ago.

I thought Arco's capital was in there somewhere as well ...

Oh, wait.

That's right.

I forgot Neiflhem conquered him as well.

Make that +4 caps then :O

And the little Bandar Log in addition..

As a note, I still need someone who is willing to take the hosts position, I'll be eliminated in 2-10 turns from now, depending on various factors.

Jazzepi June 4th, 2009 07:57 PM

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

I'm probably just going to set myself to AI. Nobody has offered any real assistance, and once I'm gone Pythium will have won the game.

Pity Pythium came and spoiled the fun, I was enjoying our grubbly little war. :D

Indeed, it was fun before Pythium spoiled it all :(

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Sucks when a good war is ruined :( I'm enjoying a good 1:1 at the moment, actually am lucky enough to have 1:1 wars in a few games I'm in at the moment. They aren't the way to win most of the time, but are much more enjoyable

Shinuyama has staled thrice in a row and Atlantis has twice.

I will start looking for a sub for Shinuyama.

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Have you heard from Digress? He kindly took over Atlantis from me way back in April, and a couple weeks ago I did get one PM from him saying he'd be happy to hand it back, but that he would get back to me ... and that was it, no more messages.

Anyway, please let me know if you'd like me to take Atlantis back. I'll be gone a couple weeks in the summer though.

statttis June 18th, 2009 06:01 PM

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Sorry about the stales... I've actually played the turns, but forgot to send in the 2h files. No need for a sub.

I'm now back in control of Atlantis. If you have a NAP with Atlantis, please PM me, otherwise I will assume your bathtubs are ripe for invasion.

My access to internet will most probably be rather limited until next Thursday.

Hosting has been postponed.

I will try to submit turns whenever possible.
