Re: Lapis MA CBM Game On

Thx.

ok, i just thought this would be the solution for the problem. The Result might be plausible, if my prophet would have been able to smite mistform from bandars pretender, so that she routed and then the army got stuck at the gates.

Re: Lapis MA CBM Game On

Come on, with my goddess' MR and regeneration Smite is not a god-killer. There was no way TC army could defend the castle. This is an old bug - grats with benefiting from it.
Now this game is a stalemate for me, for sure.

But one hit with smite can break mistform, and then my cavalery should be able to kill your god. But i did only loose 2 redguard and this is rather strange, as they had to block the gate under fire for a long time.

btw. i asked llama if he has the server logs from that turn, so that i could look what really happened.

p.s. did your god get afflictions?

Kuritza April 28th, 2009 06:26 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Game On

No. Not a single affliction. And... do you seriously think national cavalry, even sacred, can stop an SC god equipped to deal with it? Even with no mistform - 25 prot, over 25 def and a vine shield... Seriously. Not a single chance, thats just a bug.
One nasty bug that stales my advance for good. :(

Toran April 28th, 2009 06:29 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Game On

Well, I guess the bug was just in the difference between displayed battle and "real" battle - of course there's always that slight chance of monkeys breaking morale and thus fleeing (which wouldn't be a bug, but just bad luck)?

Kuritza April 28th, 2009 07:47 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Game On

Well, nevermind that. There's not much we can do anyway.

Your god was fatigued, so as soon as mistform would have went down, he would be killed or at least forced to rout very fast.

Re: Lapis MA CBM Game On

Ailotron, leader of Pythium, wants to show you his grace and tells you about his vision of the days to come, where a pretender finally will rise to become a true god.... and while this vision is still unclear (although a certain tentacled organism in aquaeous solution appears like quite a threat), the false pretender Qin Shi Huang is not among the candidates.

Thus, you don't need an army :p

Bandar Log are looking for nature gems to fund the breeding of a banana-tree that can grow in a cold climate. We have plenty of water, astral and air gems in return; our crafters services are also available.
Help the banana dream come true! Call now!

Re: Lapis MA CBM Game On

I'll be traveling from June 3rd to June 17th. I *should* have access to the internet June 7th to June 12th. Thus I will not be able to send in turns between June 3rd - June 6th and June 13th - June 16th (will be home late on the eveing of 17th).

I would like to ask wether I should try to find a sub for those two periods, or can the game be slowed down during those two periods?

Thanks,

-Jarkko

Will do. It would have only required at most a delay of 24+24 hours in this game (with the 48 hour hosting atm, and if the hosting schedule goes nicely (for me that is ;) ) no delay would be needed, but I can see it could be quite annoying still :)

Burnsaber has offered himself as a sub for Ctis during the critical moments

I'll post here again when it is time to change the control of C'tis over to him :)

I've sent in the next turn (due to be hosted according to the schedule tomorrow afternoon). After that Burnsaber takes over C'tis for one turn, so please change the e-mail address of C'tis to Burnsaber :)

As soon as i get the e-mail address, i will change it.

OK, after our crushing phyrric victory over Bandar Log Tien Chi is now completely destroyed. We will try to hurt Bandar Log some more but our last hope for victory just vanished.

btw. Burnsaber is now in control of Ctis

Ugh sorry about the recent stales from Caelum. Just built my new computer and installed dominions after the first one died last weekend, so it shouldn't happen again.

Relax man, this is a game of slackers. :) For the last 10-15 turns, I dont believe we had even one without a stale. )))

Ok, I am now at our holiday resort, and after some initial problems the Internet is also working. If you could please change C'tis back to me :) Also, once again a big thanks for Burnsaber who helped me with C'tis here :)

Any chance for the e-mail of Ctis changed back to mine? The turn is due soon, but as I don't have the previous turn yet, I can't make it...

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 12/16 Players left

I've sent in the next turn for C'tis, but won't make it in time for the next hosting (due to around Monday evening). As per Hadrian's request I've asked Burnsaber to sub me again for one turn, and he has agreed :)

I'll be back home on Tuesday evening from this roadtrip to Germany and Denmark, and will be able to take part in diplomacy too once again :)

I'd like an indefinite extension until I find someone.

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 10/16 Players left

Okay, I'm going to be taking over for jazzepi. I've taken a brief look at the turn file... things are not looking amazing at this point and I strongly advise other nations to take a good long look at machaka lest you suffer as nehekhara has.

I will try to get my turn in before the turn is due but I may need an extension due to the size of nehekhara's empire and the scale of the war.

Hadrian_II June 27th, 2009 09:01 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 10/16 Players left

could you pm me your e-mail, so that i can set you as the new owner of the nation?

rdonj June 27th, 2009 05:39 PM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 10/16 Players left

Right, sorry, I thought jazzeppi was doing that.

rdonj June 27th, 2009 06:17 PM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 10/16 Players left

I have the feeling I'm not going to be switched over as the owner until tomorrow. If turns aren't switched to my email by then I'm definitely going to need an extension.

Hadrian_II June 28th, 2009 05:57 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 10/16 Players left

i set nekehara to you.

I get the distinct feeling, that i have missed the turn by one half hour (sorry). If you would need an extension for this turn, please let me know.

rdonj June 28th, 2009 07:21 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 10/16 Players left

Ugh... yeah, the turn staled. I will see if I have the heart to play on :P

rdonj June 28th, 2009 04:25 PM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 10/16 Players left

Okay, well, the stale was annoying but machaka staled as well so he didn't gain too much advantage from it.

The annoying thing though is I am going to lose my only decent fort outside of my capitol, and I have to rescript a slew of mages over again. I shouldn't need an extension for the turn, just a chill pill.

Agartha, you might want to rethink attacking me. I'm not winning any wars any time soon, but I can certainly kill marble oracles.

rdonj June 30th, 2009 04:24 PM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 10/16 Players left

Hmm... it would seem that machaka is beginning to stale. Machaka hasn't submitted a turn since I started playing.

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 10/16 Players left

Incidently, could the first post of the thread be slightly updated? Burnsaber subbed me for a grand total of *one* turn (the other turn he was supposed to sub the game-file did vanish somewhere into the a black hole of the Internet; effectively meaning nobody did recieve the turn file for one turn) and I've been in control for 58 turns, and thus I in a burst of vanity do not feel my name should be in parenthesis (also it might give the wrong impression for somebody actually wanting to try some diplomacy with C'tis) :)

sry, fixed the problem

about the stales, 2 in a row may happen, but later on we might need a sub.

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 10/16 Players left

*sigh* Machaka appears to have staled again... if a two province minor drops out, I don't mind too much (still not nice), but when the big players stale... it's a shame.

Can we wait until we find a sub (who will hopefully pop up)...?

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 10/16 Players left

Bluff plays Agartha in the Magellan game and is doing pretty well. He did post today in the Magellan thread he is going AI in that game (and as a parting gift did put Astral Corruption up), but did give no reason for that. Maybe he has lost interest in Dominions? I firmly believe we should try to find a replacement for him in this game.

Baalz July 2nd, 2009 09:50 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 10/16 Players left

*sigh* gah that battle replay bug is annoying. Watch a big battle that I won, click on the results to get a count of my casualties and discover I actually lost. With mindless units, so 100% casualties. :/

Kuritza July 2nd, 2009 12:01 PM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 10/16 Players left

I have noticed something strange recently - when this replay bug strikes, I see wrong battle on my home PC, but at work battle replay is shown properly. Even though I think I have same set of mods on both computers.

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 10/16 Players left

Is it different OSes? My guess is it has something to do with the random number generators spitting out different numbers on different OSes.
