Huh? You mean that you see both of them as indies?

Curse these ichtycentaurs they reproduce faster than I slaughter them
I whish my tritons had more time to spend with their mate so that I can have more knights to oppose you^^

Re: Water Total War (Running)

Re: Kietsensei - Actually, i had ~500 of them when you went to war with me. Thank you for freeing up my cash for things other than upkeep!

i don't know what happened, but your QoW should have only ended up fighting mild PD in Grandfather. Stupid army not moving with the mages. I'm lucky the mages dealt with the PD around your castle, or that could have been a disaster.

Also, how did you arrange it so that my PD attacked you rather than you attacking my PD in Silent Ocean (133)? That's just bizarre.

Anyway, just 1.5 mega armies to finish off... and then some QoWs, who are obnoxiously hard to kill (seriously, 46hp/trn regeneration? I call shenanigans). Don't worry, my tarts are coming for you... slowly... (This map is so obnoxious without teleport/cloud trapeze/gateway).

Call it an educated guess. I certainly see one of them, and there's another 5-territory land area that I'm guessing has the other one in the center. When or if my spies (or armies) ever get there, i'll let you know.

Otherwise, EA Oceania or EA Atlantis could probably confirm.

I don't know what happened with your pd. I was quite surprised as well...
I am awaiting for your tartarian. At least they are moving as fast as my Queens :)

Unfortunately, I am having some weird problems with my new computer. Until I get them fixed, i am going to be delaying the game, hopefully not for long.

That's fine, more time to think about this next turn won't upset me.

Confirmed.

Oye Oye people of the oceans!
Everyone shall rejoice and celebrate this day. One of the main army of the Capricorns has been defeated during the siege of MA R'lyeh. More than 300 troops of the evil empire including their leader, a monstruous iron dragon has been slaughtered. The proud knights of the deep are now patrolling the ocean to kill the few survivors who fled the battlefield.

On another side of the war, Achilles the tartarian spirit has been killed on the battlefield after an epic duel against Celephais, the prophet of Keldanor. He is the first tartarian to fell and more will follow his path!

Re: Water Total War (Running)

Eh, I think i'm getting bored of how stupidly good KotD are and how pointless anything i do is. I definitely made some mistakes last turn, like casting Army of the Dead on your pretender's province thinking i'd cut off a possible escape route after he moved to MA Rlyeh... oh yeah, what's that order of actions again?

I mean, oh yay, you killed like 200 ichthycentaurs... and...? Whatever. I'll just rebuild them in like 2 turns.

Also, why do i always lose races to summon QoWs?

Actually the last QoW is bugged like you have witnessed that. She come with a permanent ice incased effet on her :re: So even if she is still here you can say that you permanently disabled her from the game ;) At least I know that it will be very difficult to kill her with 40 protection and 80% regen...

Re: Water Total War (Running)

Well, I'm still sucking it up - two golems & equip gone, though the 1st one was only lost because of the turn limit. I'm chalking this entire game up to a learning experience.

I'm thinking that this map might be worth another try, perhaps as a no-diplomacy game.

Squirrelloid September 20th, 2009 03:06 AM

Re: Water Total War (Running)

Can we extend the turn by 24h? I'm not going to be able to finish my turn tonight, and won't have time tomorrow to spend on it.

So many targets, so little time...

-----------

Ew, no diplomacy.

Also, i think the map has far too many provinces/player with only 6 players, and possibly even with 7. ~90 provinces would be ideal, and thats not too much bigger than the size of *my* nation. And the Kings of Elemental Earth being on the map is pretty lame.

Kietsensei September 20th, 2009 03:54 AM

Re: Water Total War (Running)

I agree with Squirelloid on the size of the map. And not being able to send those two lovely kings in the ocean to bash some Ichtycentaurs' head is kinda sad :(
Diplomacy is what make MP different from SP and I cannot think of playing a game without diplomacy. It is one of the funniest aspect of this kind of game!

Postponed.

Well, that was an interesting battle in Mu.

Re: Water Total War (Running)

Oceania hopes the other Oceania enjoys their feebleminded god. Also, thanks for the phat lootz.

And don't think being momentarily deprived of those globals is a big hit to MA Oceania's power. I have several hundred earth gems and astral gems just waiting for good uses. Not to mention a fair pile of most other gem types.

Kietsensei September 22nd, 2009 04:49 PM

Re: Water Total War (Running)

I am really disgusted of that bad luck. Feebleminded after one single heart attack when you have more than 200hp and 50% frost resist...
Otherwise, my god would have escaped as he was scripted to cast returning.
The plan was almost perfect. At least I managed to kill your god as well and even if you still have a lot of gems, you will not earn as much as before.
To the nation of the Aboleth and atlantis, take advantage of this situation and let's put and end to the Ichtycentaurs' tyranny!

Squirrelloid September 22nd, 2009 05:32 PM

Re: Water Total War (Running)

Eh, you were lucky you managed to get through my domes as it was. (One of them seems to have gone away though, which confuses me since the caster is very much alive...). That and my pretender shouldn't have even been there since he was casting teleport. Must have forgotten about a dome of mine somewhere...

Edit: Also, i'll just cast them again in a few turns when my god is back. H3 priests ftw.

Re: Water Total War (Running)

Ok, my turn is in but its not that well thought out. If this game is going to go on much longer, can we increase host time by 24h?

Kietsensei September 24th, 2009 07:14 AM

Re: Water Total War (Running)

Bah your orders shouldn't be that difficult and different from mine: buying bishop fish ;)
More seriously I agree with you and after turn 70 I wouldn't mind to switch to 36h quickhost if everyone agree.

Trumanator September 24th, 2009 11:22 AM

Re: Water Total War (Running)

works for me.

Squirrelloid September 24th, 2009 12:40 PM

Re: Water Total War (Running)

I was thinking more like 48-60h hosting.

We actually going to play after turn 70?

Kietsensei September 24th, 2009 12:46 PM

Re: Water Total War (Running)

err yeah sorry I meant 72h quickhost. I don't know why but in my head a days was 12h long...

Squirrelloid September 24th, 2009 12:48 PM

Re: Water Total War (Running)

72 would be ideal. I honestly have no clue what it is right now.

Trumanator September 24th, 2009 01:27 PM

Re: Water Total War (Running)

Okay, hosting extended to 72 hours. Honestly, I'm ready for this game to end. If Atlantis has had long enough to play with his toys, I think its about time to call it for MA Oceania.

Squirrelloid September 24th, 2009 04:37 PM

Re: Water Total War (Running)

Wow, i'm giving units the wrong orders because i think they're different units. I rule.

Squirrelloid September 28th, 2009 12:39 AM

Re: Water Total War (Running)

Ok, so i've submitted turn 70 at this point.

Quite honestly, despite the death of my pretender, I believe i'm in a stronger position than I was 6 turns ago. (I've also killed 2 other pretenders in the last 2 turns, which helps mitigate that loss a great deal.)

So, we said we'd play to turn 70 and see how it looks. So how does it look?

(If we do keep playing, well, i'm like 3 turns from finishing all the relevant research for this game, so all my mages are about to become combatants or forgers - not that i don't have like 20 dedicated forge monkeys as it is).

Trumanator September 28th, 2009 02:33 AM

Re: Water Total War (Running)

I'm perfectly happy with conceding to squirrelloid at this point.

Kietsensei September 28th, 2009 02:40 AM

Re: Water Total War (Running)

I am happy to concede the game to you as well. You deserved the victory. Otherwise it will take ages before this game finish.

My only regret was that I should have rushed you after I have finished MA R'lyeh ;)

the Vanishag September 30th, 2009 12:08 PM

Re: Water Total War (Running)

My principle endgame stratagems have fallen apart, due in part to Squirreloid's excellent play and in part to my own newb errors.

I agree, and concede to Squirreloid. :yield: That makes it unanimous. My kudos to Squirreloid for playing well in terms of the tactical, strategic AND political components of the game.

Good game, everyone.

Squirrelloid September 30th, 2009 12:36 PM

Re: Water Total War (Running)

Thank you everyone for playing. And thanks for not making me play this monstrosity out - it was going to take like 50-60 more turns to end it and I don't think anyone wanted that. See you all in other games.
