Hosting postponed for 12 hours for TC.
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
'Look out for [Marveni]'... how often do you hear that?
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
12 more hours for TC.

Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Where we had expected to find only one-eyed giants (no, not Fomoria! The other guys.), the forces of Oceania were met with a wave of undead skeletons. Chaos unfolded as our mighty army of ice drakes unloaded blast after blast of cold, on the skeletons engaged with out brave wave warriors. Oh wait, that's not such a good idea, is it. Bad ice drakes, bad!
Oceania declares war on Sauromatia. Clearly this dangerous skeleton menace must be contained! -- Mermoos P.S. Look out for Marverni! |
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Sheesh.
"Look out for Marveni"? What in the Moose kind of messed up game is this where Marveni is garnering more attention than *Nieflheim*. Or Sauromatia? Or hell, just about anybody! Mermoos, I thought we were friends and brothers in the Moose Lodge. Why do you do this to me?!? -Moosehenge P.S. The Orbital Moose-Controlled Laser is online. |
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Sauromatia? We just declared war on them!
Anyway, Brother Mermoos says, "You said it first!" |
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Agartha welcomes our Oceanian allies. Perhaps we can develop an Axis Of Traditionally Non-Powerhouse Nations (ATNPN) and dominate the map!
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
C'tis believes in the fine art of mercenary and oppurtunism. In this Sauromatian war, we are looking to ally ourselves on one side or another.
Sauromatia has offered a generous gift. It may be enough to sway us to ally with our brothers-in-poison. |
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Agartha believes that We know what that generous gift was, and We would like to remind C'tis that there is a lot of Sauromatian territory out there, and that both sides can promise you some. Also, We would like to warn you that Sauromatian territory is prone to crop failure. Organic farming is not recommended.

Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Niefelheim being touted as powerful nation?! We're even struggling with the current situation of keeping barbarians out of OUR lands, not to say anything about our neighbors! Preposterous. Endothermic Niefel Moose Chariot forces are currently patrolling our precious borders in vain hope of discouraging further insults and forces being sent at us.

b-b-b-b-b-BUSTED!!!
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
I have heard through the grapevine that the nation of Sauromatia did indeed offer its own land in return for the mercenary services of the C'tis nation. So nothing actually did get busted.

Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
OOH i like that idea. formoria is willing to get provinces as gifts :)
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Indeed, he offered me a few provinces in turn for not engaging him in what would be a 3v1 sauro-stomp.
No coincidence I am sure that the provinces would give me new neighbors, Oceania and Agartha! |
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Agartha has no wish to fight the Sauromancers, but We are always glad when someone takes provinces from our foes.
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Current hosting has been delayed +12h for Nief.
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Can we delay hosting until monday?
I will be away for the weekend and will (as I suspect a few others may) be at a super-bowl gathering all day sunday. |

1st 24-hr Superbowl extension granted. If it looks like there will be stales, I'll postpone again.
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
sorry I'm always last guy in recent few turns. doing turn now, been busy at a conference this end of week.
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
I thought you were Superbowling or something, maybe.
So, hosting is now scheduled for Monday sometime somewhere in England. If this conflicts with Superbowls, which we don't actually get to watch over here, then I'll add another delay. |
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
I attempted to add another 24h to the game. I sent my turn in, but there are reports of strangeness in Llamaserver land, and I didn't get a confirmation yet. Omni, if you could get you turn in before the current hosting schedule (18:10 GMT on Monday February 8th), then we won't have anything to worry about. Maybe!
Edit: Got my turn confirmation, and the hosting schedule is extended according to the web page: Next turn due: 18:10 GMT on Tuesday February 9th |
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
thanks for the graceful turn extension. I was superbowling Sunday, and had an early class today, I just got home but sent my turn in.
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
for once I'm not the last guy in.
hurray!! |
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Oceania declares war on the Space Druids! With the Earth Well up, they will be able to summon innumerable Moose Knights, so must be stopped now!
-- Mermoos P.S. Any Monkey provinces in the way are gonna get invaded too. |
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Hey, don't be hating on my mooseknights.
But so be it. Prepare for the MFLB* *Moose with Fricking Laser Beams |
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Preparations commenced! We are erecting the MILF*
*Moose Interdiction Laser Forcefield |
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
I will be unable to submit turns today and request that hosting hold off until tomorrow, if possible or necessary.
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
I've added 24 hours to the timer.
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Fully geared mooseknights? I should just conceed now!
Where the heck did you pull a Baobhan Sidhe from anyway? This is the weirdest Oceanian invasion force I've ever seen! |
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
I was going to say, nice mooseknights, but Marveni beat me to the punch. My markata will defend our holy land tooth and nail, rock and stick, poop in...well you get the picture.
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Hosting postponed at the request of Nief, +24h on the clock.
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
My turn is in. Sorry to keep you all waiting :)

Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
The three leaders of the Agarthan army sat at the mouth of the cave under Scraw Pointe. Inside the fortress, the Agarthan wounded were being tended to. Outside, human subjects sprinkled oil over high stacks of mangled horses, women, and a few badly burnt hydras, all piled between a huge array of lifelike statues of archers.
"I almost had her," said Usur'amassu. "She was on fire and I was ten feet away. If she hadn't come down in the middle of our archers--" Melqart, towering just as high as his fellow despite his bandaged leg, interjected. "And be turned to stone like those archers, or have her slaughter the Earth Readers?" "We had lead shields, we would have been fine," Usur'amassu replied. "Besides, it was the arrows that injured you." At this, the immense Oracle sitting beside the two Ancient Lords rose slowly to his feet. "I am the commander of the army," Lugal’eudmelambi’nirgal declared, "and our victory was great. We have beaten their raiders, broken their siege, and our mages ever learn new ways to destroy their harvests. Each of you will have other chances to kill the Gorgon. But the army must march, and we need a new batch of human archers. More of the foe is surely marching from the south." The three lords watched the sun set over the battlefield, the bloodiest yet of the four great battles of the war and the second Agarthan victory. |
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Those dirty druids! Using bioligical weapons! Now all our meese have hoof-and-mouth or whatever.
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Blame not the artifice of the druids, who have no power over disease. It is instead an omen visited upon you for your unjust warmongering against the moose-blessed Marveni.
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Oceania refuses to believe that any other nation would be foolish enough to hinder our efforts to stop the Marverni juggernaut.
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Hosting postponed for C'tis.
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
My bad, Sorry yall! I never got the turn file (although I did get 2 reminders that it was about to host!)
I asked for a resend, which worked, so we should be all on track now. |
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Formoria announces the unveiling of its newest branch of the military- the Moosewaffa! airstrikes are now occuring in various parts of the druid lands after word was leaked that they were sacrificing virgins and had enslaved the monkey people.
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
This is a cry for help. We have been unjustly attacked by Fomoria, whom we name oathbreaker, for they swore a non-aggression pact with the druids and sealed it with their very lifeblood, yet no warning did we have before their monstrous giants dropped out of the sky upon us. All nations with whom Fomoria has also sworn such a sacred oath should consider their words worthless, and their agreements void. Honor is no currency to such as they.
So foul and vicious is this act that even Oceania should consider swearing peace with us, since they will gain almost nothing should our war proceed - Fomoria having already cut them off from most of our lands. Further, we urge all the lands to attack Fomoria, whose power and prestige is poised to grow without bounds. Would you rather have Marveni with the lands of two nations, or Fomoria with the lands of three and the ability to field awesome Fomorian Kings in battle in addition to whatever they might summon. (Marveni will clean its own house of the Fomorian menace if given the chance, but we urge Fomoria's other neighbors to make war upon its homelands so that we might breathe if but a moment.) And the Fomorian propaganda is a lie - no monkeys have been enslaved by the peace-loving druids. We came to the rescue of the monkeys against the vicious Mictlan empire, and the monkeys do now flourish solely because of our actions. |
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Oceania would love to meet with Marverni's diplomats and discuss terms of resolution for our current conflict. Unfortunately, all our embassies are currently under quarantine, due to multiple outbreaks of leprosy.
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Yet another reason to hate druids! they spread lies! the only lifeblood that was spilled was the blood of beautiful virgins in horrid druid temples. Not a drop of formoria blood was spent in contact with the vile druids!
And if people of the world wonder about the justification of our war, see that even after the Moosewaffa has raided many druid lands, they still have the greatest gem income. No monkeys enslaved they say? anyone with scouts can see that the druids have left the monkey nation no outlet for expansion. they are free, but only as druid underlings. |
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Quote:
The druids have also spilt no virgin blood in our temples. Virgin blood was spilt, but only to contain the Mictlan menace, and our actions, while regrettable, were necessary, and that blood was spilt in the lab, not the temples. The virgins came unto our god and prostrated themselves before him, that they might help put an end to one menace. We celebrate their devotion and their sacrifice. Finally, we most certainly swore to a NAP with the faithless giants of Fomoria in that neutral territory known as IRC. There may have been witnesses, as some business was conducted in public that day, and the lords of Rlyeh and possibly others were present. |
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Hosting postponed 24h for Marverni (just in case).
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Not necessary, but thanks.
|
Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Hey, did my Moose Knight die when you watched the battle? He's dead according to the results (probably got hit by a meteor), but when I watch the battle he never dies.
Also: Yahoo communion members 7 Not enough vis for Relief Oops! What the heck happened to Greg? Must've died of Leprosy already. :( |

Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Your mooseknight survived in my replay too, so no idea.
Marveni is likely doomed at this point. In addition to the merciless raiding by Fomoria, they also succeeded in taking all my retreat routes from that combat, making that loss far more devastating than it should have been. Well played vfb, I wish it were you benefitting from my likely demise. (Admittedly, if it weren't for Fomoria, I'd have far better prospects to keep fighting. But I can't deal with his raiders and your armies at the same time). |
