I'll see what I can do about extension over christmas, any suggestions for how long? Gandalf has to restart the server for the extension then restart it again for normal hosting as far as I know (maybe not?), so it's not something I want to ask of him unless necessary

Well, to be honest it's not a big deal for me, but if it's impossible for someone I'd rather have a break and reconvene than just leave someone out for like, 10 days. :P

I don't mind a break if I know everyone is coming back afterwards... but momentum can be a *real* problem if people forget to come back.

Well, I think the typical lingo is that a NAP 10 means a 10 turn warning before breaking it, and it lasts indefinitely until then. I could be wrong. Of course, there's no rules in this game like "you've gotta stick with your diplomacy" so everyone's words are worth very little.

I was pretty hemmed in right from the start. I had three avenues of expansion, and all of them led me directly into another player's starting location within three territories... that being said, I can make people bleed. That only matters if they get hit by somebody else however.
