All games under currently running on llamaserver seem to have disappeared.

Re: Llamaserver troubles

Yep

"Games currently running:
None"

Morla December 7th, 2011 05:14 PM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

i just send my turn ULM-MorlaMAnoob, llamserver accepted the file and then...
"Games currently running:
None".

Olm December 7th, 2011 05:16 PM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

And I have been waiting for exactly that file for hours :(

Olm December 7th, 2011 05:24 PM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

All games back again, ours has hosted, but I received no file.

triqui December 7th, 2011 05:50 PM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

I did. Try asking for a manual research

Olm December 7th, 2011 05:57 PM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

Got mine too, Morla, perhaps you should resend the file to everyone.

Bullock December 8th, 2011 06:01 AM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

I'm not sure but i think there is a problem with the server for sending the new turn files even after asking for a resend.

Wyvern2 December 8th, 2011 08:45 AM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

A few of the players (though not everyone) in our game are also complaining that they aren't getting the turn, even on a resend request.

Any ideas what we (or i as the game admin) can do?

RonD December 8th, 2011 08:58 AM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

I kept trying every couple of hours. My turn eventually got sent.

If you are worried (or if your game is on a fast clock), it couldn't hurt to extend the hosting interval for a while.

Bullock December 8th, 2011 09:41 AM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

As RonD suggested i ve tried again for a resend and it worked at the first time.

Llamabeast i sent a pm a couble of hours ago. Our game vanished!!!

Thamk you for your efforts

Re: Llamaserver troubles

Just to let you all know I've seen this and will look into it this evening.

Essentially all the problems are caused by my ISP (or perhaps their router) being rubbish. Maybe I should look into changing.

I think a round of donations will be helpful. I'll do it now :)

We seem to be all sorted out in our game now - I reset one players email address, and the other eventually got the turn after selecting the resend option.

Problems again.

Seem that some bastard tried to add loads of crappy games.

:(

We need a Dom3 server!!!

omg... what a moron...

Thx again Llama for the time you spend on this

Yes Thank You LLamaBeast for the work you put in keeping the server running. It is greatly appreciated

There are 5 servers that I know of. Altho LLamaServer is about the only one for menu-setup email-style games

If you mean an official server then it would likely be like the Goons Game Server which only makes it easy to sign up and check multiple games to see if they turned. It doesnt actually host any of the games.

Morla December 12th, 2011 04:49 PM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

Something odd happened in two of the games i am playind and also i am the admin. I postponed hosting and the server shows the new time when the turn will host but it really didn´t work. I staled in both games.

The games are MorlaEAnoob and MorlaMAnoob.

Morla December 15th, 2011 07:13 PM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

I extended MorlaMAnoob 24h but the timer didn´t change.

-Next turn due: 05:35 GMT on Saturday December 17th, instead of
05:35 GMT on Sunday December 18th. And if you see the admin log the extension was made.

llamabeast December 15th, 2011 08:18 PM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

Aaargh, really? I am fairly sure that it will work if you try it again. Sorry though. I think this is where the internet connection cuts out partway through the postponing process, but I should look into it and see if I can prevent that happening. Seems you have been pretty unlucky with your postponings!

Morla December 15th, 2011 08:26 PM

Fixed, i just had to insist.
THX

Suddenly my game is not listed, and my .h e-mail receives no response! It is a disturbing thing.

Bullock December 19th, 2011 06:05 AM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

I think i have a bug in this game :
http://www.llamaserver.net/gameinfo....=TheChosenOnes

I m supposed to submit turn 68 and he his asking me for turn 69.
I had already sent my turn 68 while the server wasn't responding but after an hour or two i had a confirmation by mail that my turn was received.
The server was updating again but was still waiting for my turn. So i resubmited the turn and now i receive a mail telling me that the serv is waiting for a turn 69 and not 68.

Korwin December 19th, 2011 07:41 AM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

Maybe the turn rolled and you did not get the new turn?

Bananadine December 19th, 2011 12:25 PM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

I'm in a similar situation... my game has returned to the listing of games, and the server seems to have "hosted" the turn, but no new .trn file has come. I don't think my orders were lost, but something is clearly wrong.

Bullock December 19th, 2011 03:56 PM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

Ok so in my case the turn 68 was indeed done.
but the llamapage still show the deadline of turn 68 and doesn't seems to have updated the turn status of each players (he is still only waiting for my turn).

I don't think it s browser cache issue since the turn number is correctly stated (t69).

Anyway i will play and submit my turn and see what happens.

Bananadine December 19th, 2011 07:37 PM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

I requested that my turn be resent, and after a somewhat long while it was indeed resent. Everything looks fine to me now.

Re: Llamaserver troubles

Wetfeet11 currently stalled;

All turns received, quickhost is on, but no hosting taking place.

Bullock December 20th, 2011 03:13 AM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

same thing for this game :
http://www.llamaserver.net/gameinfo....icks_and_Bones

Also the deadline of many games seems to be changing alone, and most game have the same deadline now which is quite weird. (unless it's a local problem, cf my post above)

llamabeast December 20th, 2011 07:30 AM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

I finally found the bug which has been causing games to pause a lot, and fixed it. Sorry about all the pausing.

The server postpones hosting when it knows it's not working well, so probably that would explain your changed hosting times. Also there have been a number of pauses recently (because of the aforementioned bug), and when they end all the games host at once and so their hosting times tend to coincide.

Apologies again for the unreasonably high incidence of issues recently. When I coded the llamaserver I had a much better internet connection (a university one) so it's not yet super robust against the appalling shoddiness which is Virgin Media's home broadband. We're getting there though.

Re: Llamaserver troubles

In the venganzacaelum2 (http://www.llamaserver.net/gameinfo....enganzaCaelum2) the game made two turn 60. The last turn 60 people recibe the *.trn perfect, but the game thinking are in 60 instead of 61. You can repair?

WraithLord January 3rd, 2012 02:57 AM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

Just reporting two issues I've noticed:
a. Server doesn't seem to be sending turn files reliably. My last two turns I got after asking for resend.

b. Last .2h file I sent it took the server near 16h to send the "Turn received for ..." and it still doesn't list my nation as "2h file received".

Mightypeon January 3rd, 2012 04:40 AM

Re: Llamaserver troubles

I currently see "none" active game on llamaserver.
If I manually access one via bookmark, I get "Sorry, but this is not a real URL" or something.

Re: Llamaserver troubles

Llamaserver seems to have stalled again; The latest page updates are from 14:16 GMT Friday 3rd, roughly 8h ago, and it doesn't seem to be responding to either turns or (if I understood the guy who is admining our game right), admin commands to change the hosting time.

Imgbot is down as well, otherwise I'd put the Llama sign up...

I think it's fixed. Thanks for your patience. Somehow all the mods and maps disappeared, and I discovered that Memopal is pretty good at backing stuff automatically, and VERY VERY HARD to re-download your backed up files.

Yep all is good at this end.

Thanks again for your tireless care...

(It seems the Llama Sign is lost to time...)

Sigh...

I thought it was both funny and cool...

I can't seem to start a game. We've tried 3 times so far and every time the last person submits their pretender it just deletes the game. Any idea whats going on?

I'm a new player running a game on Llama server; http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showthread.php?t=48330

Something really strange is going on here; not sure what I'm doing? It looks like all the players have been dropped?

I'm sorry if I screwed this up somehow.
