Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?

I love the racial techs too much to pass up on playing them most of the time, but I had considered trying Temporal, which I have never really played. Even with the recent patch it would have been useless in this game, since Gandalph and I both never used shields at all. I was about to start adding shields to my ships, and I was certainly fearing that I would run into Gandalph's ships equipped with shields, since I had been using a combination of DUCs and organic weaponry. I did have some PPB research done and waiting in the wings, just in case.

So who am I going to face next??? Ohboyohboyohboyohboy!!!!!

Geo, did you get my e-mail to sign me up for the Gold tourney? (Not sure, but my e-mail may be acting flaky....)

Geo, I am sure you have more important things to do, but when do I move up a tier and then get pounded by a new opponent?

And you can delete the Cheeze vs Gandalph game, naturally. I'm sure I won't be so lucky against the big G next time we meet. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Sorry Cheeze. I forgot to update that Last time. But I don't have anyone to match you against right now until one of the other base level matches ends. But I do have an opponent for Gandalph. Thanks for reminding me.

Cheeze, we may get a rematch after all. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif Depending on how long it takes this game I'm in with Darkhorse. But I'm sure we're getting closer to the end. My big fleet will either wipe out his home systems. Or my fleet will encounter a even bigger fleet and leave my defensless. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif
Should be interesting though if I pull this one off to rematch against you. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Thanks Geo. I'm sure you have a full plate. Just thought I would send a reminder.

Ragnarok, that's great news! I'll look forward to seeing you in the next match, if it works out that way!! Guess I spoke too soon when I said there would be a rematch. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Any ideas on 'Range check error'? I tried to search the forum for that but it looks like there is no cure...
In my 1.49 game it happened 2 times in a row meaning that the AI is playing for me (the moment is not the best to leave the control to AI).
Help... help... help... ... ...

Edit: This happens when I click anywhere on a map or on any ship.

Edit2: This was Win2k machine. I tried loading the savegame on WinXP and it works fine http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?

Gozguy surrender to me at turn 70. This game was all about luck and not about skill.

It was never a fair fight because of the starting positions. Mine was great, with lots of good planets near my homeworld, and fairly close to the key systems. Gozguy was at the end of a long string of systems and although he managed to slip some colonizers out he never had a change to establish himself properly.

Well, guess I have used all my luck now and it will be pay-back time in the next round. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif
