<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">That's why I said it "seemed". But, it also took units...lots of units as well. Maybe I just read over my dwindling assets and never noticed it only took one ship.

I dont know if the Pandora class ship is a star distroyer or not but it doesnt matter. 2 of my planets are not rioting, so from lack of resources my ~60 ships should be gone next turn.

Well, 5 turns since Last update and the good guys (that's Alneyan and me http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif ) look to be ready for harvesting http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif . A fleet (of Parabolize's) has broken through (with another 30+ ships behind it) a critical point in the map and it looks like we have no defenses in place to stop it.

Meanwhile, in the south, my ship building efforts seem to have been slow and any turn now, Electrum (who has been very silent) will break through and then there will be double trouble.

Sigh...looks like doom for the good guys. To make things even worse, Parabolize has taken the race I beat him with on 2 other full-tech games and flaunted his ability in my face http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon8.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/blush.gif . But I've always said he's a good player.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">I think I missed some updates here. One moment the 'good guys' are about to be beaten, and now Parabolize is about to surrender.

More Updates please...

Baron, shifts in outlooks can change radically in full-tech games...especially when one wonders into a system with a ship named, "Pandora" cloaked over a star.

And even in regular games, the situation can be changed rather quickly, as you may recall from our own game Grazic. You were winning and my Empire was going down, and only a lack of supplies in your fleets and my infamous luck managed to save the day for my League. (And even then, I had half my planets rioting in the end)

As for updates, why your Queries shall be answered next turn Grazic when we will see whether the Pandora Box will unleash a certain torpedo or a puff of smoke. And later on, you shall have the answers you are seeking for. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif (Remember, I have other tricks besides Light Carriers and the ability to detect minefields at long range. *Smirks*)

BOOM!

Alneyan April 26th, 2004 07:49 PM

Re: Rated Challenges Thread

Little Alneyan and Slynky were examining their toys, when the careless Alneyan seized the Torpedo and started toying with it. Still staring at his beloved warships, Slynky did not realize what danger he was in until Alneyan asked:
"Hey, what is this shiny rattle? It looks funny, but what are all these warning signs written on it?"

Setting aside his battleGroups, Slynky raised an eyebrow and glanced at the highly explosive substance being shaken to and fro.
"Put that back where you put it! If it wasn't for the fail save, we would have had quite an explosion here and..."
"What fail save? You mean that useless trigger here?"

Following this regrettable incident, Parabolize's fleet was unfortunately destroyed as well as the toy chest of the Good Guys. However, both Alneyan and Slynky managed to survive despite the bLast, the one warding off the bLast by his ingenious schemes (caution is highly advised when being anywhere near Alneyan, especially as an ally), and the other one sheltered by his infamous beginner luck.

Erh, I was merely making a follow-up of Slynky remark about me "playing around with all the toys in a full tech game". Now we will be back to the regular programs, with a less unusual update to come.
