Re: Ye Olde Galactic Bar & Grill & Phong\'s Head Cantina
Mac, buring your keks is not environmentally friendly - it releases too much carbon and other noxious substances into the atmosphere.
I consider that Wubbya should consider amending the current US space programme to allow for your used undergarments to be launched by linear accelerator into the Sun. It is the only way of disposing them. Please dont suggest burying your trollies again, I have this awful vision (like the end of that Spielberg AI movie) of an alien race digging up this lead lined concrete enclosed package thinking it will be some time capsule of wonderful information, and all they get are your tesco-sauce-spoiled keks Grim http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif |

GT, "all they get are your Tesco-sauce spoiled Keks"
LOL, But can you imagine the looks on their faces after opening it up, let alone their offericious inhaling of the fumes cooped up for hundreds of years,, http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif just some ideas mac |

Saxon, one must remember that who was the one who was sipping some brew, enjoying the sights of those juggling acts that bounced within his vision at those small quaint outside cafe`s and all the while he was supposedly working. Therefore, money changer or lender, go for it,
You could even break the ice by trying to explain to her the scientific wonders of the "CTW or the "TGP". I'm sure that upon the wonderous insights into these topics that the young filly in question, would see that you are most interested in the finer aspects of science and that you are a person of the world with a fine intellect. This should enhance your ability to enjoy her company on a more frequent basis http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif just some ideas mac |

As a Last minute bit of tasteless humour, let me agree that there were not a lot of money changers in Palestine in 50BC and add that I doubt there are many there right now. Things are just too lively.
Also, let me add that you learn some remarkable skills while kissing moose, things that I would reveal but for the fear that it would lower the tone around here. |
Re: Ye Olde Galactic Bar & Grill & Phong\'s Head Cantina
No, you are right Saxon. I was watching our breakfast news this morning and naturally, the BBC had one of their star reporters pretty much in the thick of things on the West Bank.
I had the great pleasure of spending not far off a year in the Middle East in 1992/1993 and spent a fair amount of time in Israel and Jordan. I have been to a lot of the West Bank towns including Ramallah and Bethlehem. The BBC reporter was driving through Ramallah which I always remembered as a lively typical Arab/Palestinian town, thronged to the nines and busy with people enjoying and living their lives. I watched the TV this morning and could not believe. Ramallah was deserted and war torn and I just could not comprehend the difference between reality today and my memories Please note that I am not casting any opinion or taking any sides on or in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. I think it is just so sad that this sort of thing happens in this modern so-called civilised age [ 17 April 2002: Message edited by: Growltigga ]</p> |

Re: Ye Olde Galactic Bar & Grill & Phong\'s Head Cantina
To open up a game I need to know:
1.) How many players we are. 2.) How many racial points. 3.) What size of the galaxy. 4.) What techs level we start at. 5.) Tech cost. 6.) Number of starting planets. 7.) Conditions of starting planets 8.) Players can see other players score yes/no. As I have played some PBEM games I would recommend: 2.) 2000-3000. 3.) Medium size. 4.) Low. Medium if wished for. 5.) High. 6.) 3 to 5. 7.) Good. 8.) No. |
