Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?
Geo,
LOL! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif I know you are just about as romantic as I am. We started our game yesterday- Feb 14th - the first few turns I got in with the 'ol lady hovering behind me to go to dinner. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif She's going to kill me one day... Good progress with the turns, though. Still early on in the game. I'm not too happy with my start but I'll deal with it. It's been a while since I co-occupied a system in the middle of the map. Now it's very much like chess. Pretty tense. I expect we'll have some bashing soon... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif |

Yeah, I actually got to go on to a movie with my wife Last night in between our turns. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
A chess match is a good analogy for this. It should be quite interesting to see how it plays out. I don't know what kind of start you got but it can't be too much worse then mine. And your little minefields cutting me off from everything beyond that central system doesn't help http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif Geoschmo |
Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?
Ha Ha.... Were horrible are we not... I had a really busy week... Family stuff crashing down around me ( hospital stuff with immediate family and all is ok now)... Etc.... But still managed to kinda keep up on my 15 games and 2 single player games.... ( did not miss a turn... )

Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?
Thanks for the game, Geoschmo.
That was a weird standoff; the game really came down to one massive battle in the middle of the map. Very tense. I'm sorry, but I am very relieved that it turned out in my favor. Above all, I want to say thanks for the speedy turns. I can't believe how many turns we zoomed through in about 2 days. Finished a match in a weekend. Now, that was nice. I did not forget what I was doing... Like Tesco points out, when you are in numerous games, it becomes difficult to remember the details for each (never mind real life)! You must be wired to a CPU or something. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif Cheers! |

Actually it's funny because a bunch of times I just happend to log on and notice you had just done your turn a minute or two before. Also using the Real Time Client I can leave it running on my pc and walk away and can tell if you did your turn from the other side of the room. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif Geoschmo |

Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?
I already have an opponent for my next match. There is at least one person waiting to join, and Georgig will be moving back to the base unless he's taking time off. He hasn't answered my email yet.

Actually I don't after all. Georgig and CombatSquirill are matched and I am waiting.
