Darnit you are right. It feels like every freaking decision is crucial. If you were on the other side of the galaxy like you were supposed to be, I could afford a few mistakes. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif Well, the good news is that most likely one of us is going to knock the cobwebs off of Preacherman... Hate to wake him up from his nap and all. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif |

At the time I joined it didn't seem to matter plus I never figured I'd still be into the game a year later. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif |

Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?
Well our game has turned into a nailbiting game of cat and mouse.
I actually managed to establish a postion on a warp point in DavidG's home system, and hold it for several turns. A minelayer was scurrying feverishly to build up mines on the point. I knew he would counter with sweepers to take back the point... One turn, I forgot to build mines on the source planet, so my minelayer had to sit and wait. I'll be darned if he did not sweep the point with exactly enough sweeping components. Curses! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/blush.gif And I moved the ship I had defending the point to "gun" for his homeworld (I had to test my luck... But he was smart enough to lay mines). Should have kept it there. A costly turn of events on my part, and a good gamble on his. He now owns the point, and I lost a serious advantage... back to the guessing game. He also did a nice job keeping me out of a system: again I gambled that he would not get a warship there to kill the colony so quickly... OOF! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif |
Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?
Oh, hey. I missed the surender by Tesco somehow. I guess he and I face off next. Nice. I still owe him a beating from a non-koth game a few weeks ago. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
Congrats Asmala. Looks like the top's getting a bit crowded now. Geoschmo |
Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?
My scouts found Nodachi’s home worlds very early in the game, but lacked supplies for any kind of attack. A little later a small fleet of his bumped into some of my pickets at a warp point. Sucks to jump into a group of ships at a warp point. Now I guess we have both changed tactics and are waiting to spring the next surprise on each other.

Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?
Thanks for the nice game Tesco. I think the none atmosphere wasn't the best choise for that game. Of course there is moons but I found one large breathable planet two systems away from my home system and it's worth many moons.
Ha Ha.... Last 2 games I was in the None would have rocked.... Tesco start I guess... And the only good none world was in your home system http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif Ha Ha Good game... I still had many small planets by why drag it out... Have fun next game... |
