Re: Atlantis

MA Ctis is buying gems.

D gems-50 gold
s gems 50 gold
Earth gems 40 gold
Nature gems 40 gold
water gems 30 gold
blood slaves 25 gold
air gems 25 gold
fire gems 25 gold

MA Ctis is also buying items for gold.

Because MA Ctis loves everyone, this offer is open to everyone.

Also, given the number of players left in the game, I am not sure we still have a need of a separate thread for trades-though it was an excellent idea by Lolomo.

Re: Atlantis

I took over Lanka so it wouldn't go AI, hoping to find a replacement in a few turns. If anyone knows a willing perm sub, please have them contact me.

War is imminent, MA C'tis will be attacking in 2 turns. Should be a good fight, but will probably result in longer turn time/micro which is really unattractive to me at this point.

It did stale a few times previously, but the only real damage was lost opportunity on a few things.

Theonlystd is taking over Lanka permanently. Wish him luck, Mr. moneybags is his neighbor. $7k? eek.

Hey, making over 7000 gold per turn makes you happy NOT! All the spending, all the need to consume!

If anyone needs a temporary sub (2 or 3 turns) to prevent staling or going AI while a perm sub is found I'd be willing to help.

Re: Atlantis

It looks like MA Oceania is missing at the moment.

Xietor September 25th, 2007 11:02 AM

Re: Atlantis

While I do not like races going AI, I am not keen on temp subs either. Lanka has has 4 players since K left. It really creates instability with respect to that race.

I have asked 6 players to take over MA oceania-they all said no. So if a permanent sub cannot be found i would set them to ai. In addition I posted a message on the Epic Heroes game thread for a sub for MA oceania as well.

The problem for MA oceania is his alliance is dead and he likely is going to be gobbled up by the la ryleh, ea oceania and Ermor etc. So maybe it is best to just let him get gobbled.

Evilhomer September 25th, 2007 11:41 AM

Re: Atlantis

The best is to find a substitute, nothing creates so much instability as having nation become AI all of the sudden.

Xietor September 25th, 2007 01:10 PM

Re: Atlantis

I may have found a sub. He is going to decide quickly if he is willing to take it over.

Though this request is likely to be ignored, hopefully his neighbors will not attack him this turn so he has a chance to do diplomacy. I no longer share a border with MA Oceania, and my war with them is officially over-at least from my perspective.

Had Tyrant not meddled in the NW corner, I would have made peace with him long ago. In any event Tyrant was a worthy foe, and it is my fervent hope that in at least one game in the future we can actually be allied rather than enemies.

Velusion September 25th, 2007 04:26 PM

Re: Atlantis

FYI,

Keeping with standard procedure MA Oceania will be placed on AI unless someone volunteers to take the nation over before the next host.

I know Xietor is looking for a replacement. Jutetrea is also welcome to take the spot.

Xietor September 25th, 2007 05:05 PM

Re: Atlantis

I think I have someone. Jut is a good player and if he is willing to play it permanently that is great.

It just makes diplomacy a mess to have temp subs for a race every 3-4 turns.

Re: Atlantis

Consider me a last ditch before AI, or even staling if its know that its going to stale.

I had fun righting the previous stales on Lanka, grabbed some artifacts, optimized some miscellaneous crap and wanted to call it good. Played nice (mostly), but didn't want to get bogged down in a major war.

Willing to do the same with other nations, gives me a chance to see what they've turned into after this long in a big game. I'd never played lanka before so it was very interesting to see it and talk to K to get some of the reasoning. IMO that's better then AI, but others may differ.

Well if we are lucky we get to see a host tonight anyway, so we might not be delayed - seems we are only waiting for 2 players now (man and oceania).

Sieger September 26th, 2007 04:22 PM

Re: Atlantis

I'll have my MA Oceania turn in roughly 4 hours from now. I was busy up until now today and just now got the password from Velusion and will need a few hours to take care of my turn as there are a lot of provinces to deal with and Oceania had a few things going on that need tending to.

There is only one true Rakshasa King!

One day his people will be worthy of him again, and he will return and the world itself will be his gift to his blessed hungry ones.

On that day, the world will weep and they will feast!

Re: Atlantis

Neh, feast is for the dead, for the pox is upon us!

Casting Plaque repeatedly is hardly a winning move when all your own troops are living but at least it ensures a Pyrrhic victory for the opponent. Was thinking of replacing my troops with undead and using the spell myself, but it seems C'tis wants to be the harbringer of black death...

...and so begins Agartha's decline from the nation of Statues to the Army of Undead...

Re: Atlantis

Brother LA Ctis-waste not thy d gems. Send them to MA Ctis so that we may use them to raise a monument to you after you have departed the world.

Brother EA Ctis-it is not too late for you to send MA Ctis d gems as well. The Lizards must survive!

Sieger September 27th, 2007 01:09 PM

Re: Atlantis

I just put in a basic turn for MA Oceania this turn as I did not want to delay the game by trying to learn everything about my situation when I was the last one holding up the hosting.

This following turn I'll be able to put in a complete turn and better assess my situation.

Since I'm coming into the game as a sub I would appreciate it if all of my neighbors would please inform me of any standing diplomatic agreements (NAP) we have; if my nation was/is at war with anyone from prior to me taking over, I'd also appreciate at least some cursory notice of this (although if you attack me I will of course be made aware in any case.)

Hm, I hope everyone has noticed the status page does not agree with the server regarding time of next host. Status page reads one day + 8 hours and some minutes, but when I connect to the server it says that the hosting is within next 9 hours. So, one day amiss.

Don't go staling anymore...

Arraghhh!

I thought I had until Saturday night. Damn!

I hope Amhazair comes back from his hols soon... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

I know the rules say no time extensions but given the mix up with hosting times between the status page etc...can we have a 12hr one, please, pretty please?

Evilhomer September 28th, 2007 03:11 PM

Re: Atlantis

It is my belief that vel messed up and put the game on 48 hour qh instead of the intended 72h. Giving an 24 hour extension (so that players really get 72) is probably a good idea.

Velusion September 28th, 2007 04:07 PM

Re: Atlantis

I've added another 24 hours to the hosting time.

Now I just need to remember to change it back to 72 after the next host!

Xietor September 28th, 2007 06:24 PM

Re: Atlantis

I would not mind seeing it go back to 48 so it can end in my lifetime. Is there anyone that actually wants 72 hours that owns more than 40 provinces?

if you own under 40 you should not get 72 to do a single turn.

Velusion September 28th, 2007 06:39 PM

Re: Atlantis

We will not be switching back to 48.

atul September 29th, 2007 05:51 AM

Re: Atlantis

Heh, I own 94 provinces (and going up) and the 72 hours is a real life-saver for me. Especially now since I'm in Corsica on summer school. :/ So Xietor, patience?

...haven't been able to be too creative even now, though. Oh well, one week of these 830-1900 lectures left... Zzzz

Re: Atlantis

Xietor, should play LA Ermor. Lets see how fast he can do his turns then by turn 72.

Still I admire the enthusiasm, I was the same once. Now I am just jaded and burned out with MP.

Xietor September 29th, 2007 02:28 PM

Re: Atlantis

I do not mind the 72 hour pace, but i did notice almost everyone was done in the 48 hour time frame.

And this is probably my 40th mp game, so it is not as if I am that young, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. But I have learned how to not micromanage over the years. Which is why I do not clam, blood stone etc. I also rarely delve into blood slaves
or pick a blood race for that same reason.

How many mp games does it take to make 1 a veteran and jaded? Heh.

Let it be known to all who are preoccupied with their own petty bickerings that the end times are upon us. The threat that EA Oceana poses to all free and independent nations is dire and undeniable, in the face of their probable domination of all it is imperative that all set aside their differences and work together that we may have a chance to stop this juggernaut before it is too late. The nations of LA Mictlan, LA Ermor, and LA R'yleh wish it known that we have joined together in one voice to fight for our very independence. We march from the south, and give cry that all nations with aspirations of independence join with us that EA Oceana is consumed from all sides that our effort has a chance to succeed. We spearhead the action to stop them from continuing to consume smaller nation after smaller nation until the fish lord ascends unopposed, who will stand with us?

MA Ctis reaffirms his intent to destroy the evil blood race-Lanka.

All nations are asked to send gold, gems, items, and words of encouragement to the Lizards as they valiantly fight against Demons! Demons! What is more evil then Demons.

Do not let the last viable Lizard race become extinct. Save the Lizards!

Cannibal Mimes!

National Summon for LA Marignon. He costs, say, 12 death gems, so he's a great deal compared to a revenant.

You probably mean something along the lines of: "The evil and tiranical creatures from the void known as R'lyeh, after subjugating the once free and independent nations of LA Ermor and LA Mictlan, now force these once-free nations to support them in the unjust attack upon the still free and independent EA Oceania, last bastion of resistance against the evil sweeping this world. " right? This sounds a lot closer to the truth to me.

"last bastion of resistance against the evil sweeping this world."

Hardly, the Lizards of MA Ctis have no yoke around their neck. While we are small-we are feisty.

Did you know lizards spit blood into their enemies eyes during combat?

"A South American lizard squirts blood from its eyes to repel enemies."

Why can't MA Ctis lizards do this KO?
