You may be interested in the GIMP (www.gimp.org). Freeware, easy to use, nice features/plugins.

Well, I am taking this weekend off but I'll be back on monday to have some more fun with the avatars.

FYI: The Avatar Emporium has been brought up to date and is a quick way to view all the avatars I've created during the past week.

Hats Off and Thanks to Geoschmo for hosting the Emporium.

Have a Great Weekend, Cheers!

There is no such thing as free software; only the currency with which you pay changes. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

I've updated my avatar.

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars

Could you make me an avatar?

Specifications:
The avatar has a pale face which has never seen the light of day, his eyes narrow angrely as he looks at you. His hair and irises appear to be flowing lava. As you look closer you notice that he has no eyebrows just empty palid skin. Add the polished effect except have a dark rather than light spot.

How many people think this guy can pull it off?

Come to think of it, lay off on the special effects for now(animation, polish, ect.) I have a good program to make them!

David, the Imagemod thread is HERE (link).

Planets, Components, Facilities, and Combat (Weapon Animations) are accepted.
I can give a tutorial on how SE4 uses the pixels for the combat animation if nessesary.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">.. It's a Gentilman's salute,.. one grabs the rim of ones top hat, raises it off the head ever so slightly and bows {bowes?} slightly in the direction of the one recieving the salute...

The gesture is intended to convey both respect and honor while maintaining one's own dignity.

Cheerio, chap, this has been a quick lesson in proper mannerisms. I most certainly hope this clarifies the phrase "Hat's off!" so that you may in turn use it to your advantage.

Cheers!
