Re: OT: Best D&D RPG Game?
It's been so long since I even looked at NWN. I completed the first section, and am now exploring the town. That's as far as I've gone. In TOEE, I haven't even made it on the first quest to find teh mayor (or whoever it's supposed to be). Even though I love rpg's, I just don't have that kind of time right now to devote to them (try having a 3 year old and you'll see why). It's easier for me just to do a few turns of SE4G.

Re: OT: Best D&D RPG Game?
confirmed, monks can multiclass. gamehack is usefull. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif no, i didn't mess up my real character.
complaint: the demo is to short. it's really just a tutorial, not a demo. on the other hand, i do want to buy the game, so i suppose it worked. i wonder if it's in stores. i got money right now... |
Re: OT: Best D&D RPG Game?
Yes it is. Do NOT buy NWN original or Shadows of Undrentide expansions separately. Most stores (well, all of them in my area, at any rate) sell them for 30 dollars a piece. The Gold Edition has both of those combined for 40 dollars. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif Make sure to get the Hordes of the Underdark expansion as well if you can afford to get it.

Re: OT: Best D&D RPG Game?
now, all i have to do is figure out how to make custom race's and classes(remarkable easy in morrowind). i want to make a maji(gandolph)race&class.

Re: OT: Best D&D RPG Game?
"Magi?" Never seen anyone spell it "maji," assuming that is what you are talking about...

Re: OT: Best D&D RPG Game?
close enough. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
unfortunatly, it seems like the only way to create custom race/classes is either with clumsy text editing or files that i don't have. clumsy because i can't edit or add new the lists of feats, skills and spells that each class and race gets because i can't find them. there's an expanded source.zip which might be it, but in the meantime, i'm starting with a more modest dungeon crawl. i'm even calling it that. shortened story: bunch of poorly-armed archeologists blundered into the tomb of a pleasant guy called Deathhand Valecto. he may be a lich, may be a vampire. legends are unclear. coffin is gaurded by a deadly necromantic trap, according to legend. archeologists saw a door before the skeletons chased them off. even they noticed the skeletons were looking worn down. so, you hit the tomb, kill the skeley's and see what's behind door number one/only. i'll give you a clue: the door's named 'homanz stay out'. Fyron, you wouldn't happen to know how to make race/classes aside from messy text editing, would you? the editer glitches. a lot. [ January 08, 2004, 09:55: Message edited by: narf poit chez BOOM ] |
Re: OT: Best D&D RPG Game?
I have Neverwinter too, and think it's great. I especially like it because of the editor. I've got a page up with my modules for the game if anyone's interested.
