Re: Estimated System Reqs?
will it work with ME?

Re: Estimated System Reqs?
I don't see why not...
Also, make sure to update your video card drivers to the latest Version. [ September 09, 2003, 21:27: Message edited by: Imperator Fyron ] |
Re: Estimated System Reqs?
I'm using ME.
So far my system crashes only when I'm notplaying Starfury http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif I'm hoping to upgrade to Win98 when my replacement harddrive comes back from Maxtor. |
Re: Estimated System Reqs?
hehe... upgrade to win98... wasn't ME supposed to be 98's replacement? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Re: Estimated System Reqs?
ME came out after 98, if that's what you mean.
Came with my PC, which, along with procrastination, is why I'm using it now. |
Re: Estimated System Reqs?
do you think it's why my internet tends to glitch on me?

Re: Estimated System Reqs?
WinME you mean? Its not a good OS. Either go back to Win98SE or upgrade to XP.
Anyways, DX Version support really depends. If MM wanted to, he could make it DX6 compatible or whatever (the interface for it is super modular, garunteed backwards compatibility). I'd bet DX8 will run it, but like I said, DX9b will probably be distrubed on the disk. |
Re: Estimated System Reqs?
Well, I also have ME, and I'm not paying $100 for the XP (at least right now). But I've had no problem running software so far, so hopefully this won't be a problem.

Re: Estimated System Reqs?
You should be good to go with WinME, I just have a very negative opinion overall about it. I have gotten spoiled by XP pro's awesomeness.
I just had a random thought. People tried using SEIV in Linux using Wine. IIRC, it did not work 100% correctly. SESF probably will not work at all in a WINE environment, as Linux cannot run DX without a serious (and probably illegal) porting of DX, COM, etc..
