A blood slave is actually doubly female! For you lose 2 population when you create one slave. Perhaps the virgin's mother commits suicide when her daughter is taken into slavery??? i'm well nigh certain that the garnets when they're gathering blood slaves aren't looking for the girls...

and that "disembowelling" isn't how they let the blood flow...

What still puzzles me is that there were so many more bloodslaves in the battle than on the apprentices.... Has anyone else seen this happen?
