Re: What is the etymology of your moniker?

My nickname came from FF VIII. It was the first FF game I completed from the start and the name of the ship they use towards the end of the game was called the Ragnarok.

Ragnarok also has something to do with the war of the gods at the end of the world or something like that. It is a bunch of mumbo jumbo that is just fake stories and non-related to the source of my nick.

Well, a friend of mine called me that before she went to Australia. The name stuck.
My Last GF hated the name and that made it more fun to use it... hehe...
She said it sounded a little bit too dead, like tombstone. A bit strange I guess, because she herself was a fanatic gothic girl. Doesn't make any sense, does it?

Actually it does... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif You haven't lived until you call someone "Blaneyschnuckums" though http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif

Rags: Click Here to read more about Ragnarok, Sorry, But i'm a huge fan of ancient mythology http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif

Hahaha... great story (the part of answering letters)! LOL!!!!
English people do have humor though. Just look at John Cleese (Monthy Python, Fawlty Tower), Tommy Cooper and the English parliament.

No thanks, Biblical Mythology is rather uninteresting compared to Norse, Greek and Egyptian. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif

And don't think it's all Fun and Flowers. If you want I can start telling you stuff like the more censored account of Horus Vrs Sutekh, What an Ankh actually represents, The Certain accounts of debauchery the Ancient Greeks took part in and festivels that showed us that the Vikings REALLY KNEW How to have a good time. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif

Interesting thing is is that it is not myth... But all of that is for discussions not to take place on these forums. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

My name coems from the massive back history files provided in Mechwarriors 2, which unfortunatley will not work on my computer. I believe he was a high ranking general in one of the Inner Sphere houses...

Ah, the Norwegian in me loves to hear you say that. I've been told that the root of my real life first name (Tyrel) is that of the Scandinavian god of battle (Tyr). You're into mythology, is that true??

Norwegians unite!! (What the hell, even though I'm only 1/4 Norwegian, that still counts doesn't it?? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif )

Very big into Mythology, Egyptian being a personal favourite. I'm also into Ancient History that goes alongside mythology.

I'm currently working towards A-Levels in Archaeology, and then possibly a degree with a specialisation in Egyptology. That would be a perfect job for me, of course I'll most likely be in my late 20's before I Reach that far http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
