I don't recall TNG ever going to warp 10. I have a TNG manual at home if you want exact numbers on stuff. What about stuff from the movies.

The Voyage Home had them slingshot around the sun to reach warp 10, I think. Warp 10 on TOS was regularly exceeded in TNG, so that must be out.

Then there is the trip to the center of the galaxy in just a few weeks.... We'll just pretend that didn't happen, for the sake of our sanity (or whatever it's been replaced with) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

They went to Warp 13 in the final espisode. You have to think of warp speed as a constant revision of the maximum speed chart. Instead of calling it transwarp, they opted to call it Warp 11, 12, 13 and so on.

The science of Star Trek is VERY inconsistant and annoying as all hell.

Ah, yes, forgot about the last episode. Very disapointing.

Well bear in mind Starfleet is the organisation that has/will promote Janeway and Riker to Admiral. If they're doing the same thing on the technical side it's no surprise the scales keep changing, there are only morons in charge.

Ok so I have finished watching the series. I have to say that I sincerely hate it when a show starts to get somewhat interesting and ends its season with a cliff hanger only to be cancelled. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif Fox does this a lot and it sucks.

The writing of the show was ok, not any where as good as B5 but a hell of a lot better than ST Voy.

When I watch the show I cannot help but think of the new BSG and how the writers of this new series, BSG, must have been inspired by SAAB.

I always assumed they knew they were being axed, so they killed off everyone.

Wasn't that from one of the Trek movies first? ST:VI I think, seems the kind of thing the crazy bald Klingon general would have said.

The series was out before the Movie First Contact. I know it was said before in the series, but I do believe that it was coined first in Space Above And Beyond.

Abandon All Hope!

ST:VI is not First Contact, but The Undiscovered Country. I do believe this came out before SAAB.
