Re: Game: Star Fall (open)
I'd like to ask a question. It may put me at a strategic disadvantage but I don't care because I doubt I'd win this game anyway, but it seems I have some problem starting, because while many other nations have over ten provinces by now, I only have six - and I have had no early wars with nearby neighbors, like other players. Plus, with the exceptions of the times when I needed a scout or commander, I have hired a mage every turn, but my research is lagging behind, too. My army score is one of the highest, but that hasn't translated to more provinces. Are you guys just more reckless with expansion and send your troops out outnumbered? Because yes, I tend to not send out troops unless I know they can win with little to no losses. Being used to SP, I'm amazed with how quickly out of the gate even nations with relatively unarmored troops have managed. I would just be afraid a loss or Pyhrric victory would stunt me in the long run, but apparently that isn't happening to anyone else.
I guess some advice on starting out would be cool. I don't want to put anyone at a disadvantage, but I think we're far enough along that it wouldn't be too bad. You can PM me though if you think that's an issue. Thanks! |
Re: Game: Star Fall (open)
Yomons diplomats were just filthy spies, we have treated them as they deserved! By meaning peace, nation of Yomon ment to keep proud nation of Abysia as an obedient slave. That's why we've decided to revolt against Yomon's supremacy! Yomon is growing far too fast and taking lands which by no law should be under his dictatorship! Abysia won't allow this to happen, as we are weaker nation, with no huge income and powerful army like Yomon, we won't hesitate to use any forces, diplomatic or not, to end Yomon's Dominion!

Re: Game: Star Fall (open)
Big bad scary Ermor also happens to be killing off the population in 15 provinces that I would rather have... it's not his armies I fear, it's his Dominion. Which happens to be way up there too. Who decided to park Ermor's capital in the middle of nowhere so he could expand so massively? Or has he already eaten someone?
And what's up with Mictlan, only 3 provinces? |
Re: Game: Star Fall (open)
I will be unable to play from Friday night to Sunday night California time (PST). I'm ok with missing a turn but if the timing happens just so that I need to miss two, which I think is unlikely, but still, please don't AI me.
Thanks! |

Indeed, you accusing the Abysians for betrayal only makes you seem more devious and hypocritical when you do the exact same thing yourself! What do you have to say for yourselves? |
Re: Game: Star Fall (open)
We moved our mercenaries into an neutral province north of Ulm's forces on their last turn to get rid of them so no one else could hire them. Ulm happened to attack the same province. This was also before Ulm took us up on our offer of an NAP. They only lost 3 men.
Abysia's armies, however, poured across our borders. Jazzepi |

Trust Ermor, everyone else is completely untrustworthy... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Re: Game: Star Fall (open)
There should be a movement command that goes something like "attack neutral territory but if another nation manages to attack that territory and win first in the same turn do not attack." That seems like it would clear up many diplomatic blunders, such as above.
