The LA Alexander map says it is not intended for Ermor or R'lyeh, both of whom we have in this game. Will this map work for us?

Personally, I feel that in large games, diplomacy counts for more then actual strength. This goes double for Ermor and R'lyeh.

That said, I wouldn't want people to think that had no chance before the started. If there are any suggestions for a better map, I'm all eyes.

I've included links on the main page for the original CBM 1.92 mod, which one needs for the sprites that the ettin fix references. Without it the game will likely crash at pretender creation.

Again, I'll be open to other maps, but if I see all pretenders loaded, I'm going to start the game so that we can get rolling with this. Best to start having fun as soon as one can is what I say.

I wasn't thinking so much that these two were overpowered, but that there might be something about the map's start sites that wouldn't work for them (but that would only make sense for R'lyeh, I suppose).

I tried the Alexander - Late Era(No Sites) map with R'lyeh in singleplayer, and it worked fine. I also found a magic site, so I have no idea what that stuff means, since it seems to have sites and R'lyeh works fine.

Yes, I am confused by the "No Sites" tag since there appear to be sites. This seems to be a curious use of the English language with which I am unfamiliar.

Perhaps it means that it doesn't have Fixed Starting Sites(rather, provinces or positions)? A poor choice of words, but I could see it.

In a multiplayer game with diplomacy, the strength of nations like Ermor and R'lyeh is also a liability, because few if any players will tolerate their presence, much less ally with them. I've only played one Late Age game before (with about 10 players) and Ermor got dogpiled as soon as the other players learned where it was.

In this case, I believe "No Sites" means that our version of the map does not have the special, fixed magic sites (libraries?) that appear in the "scenario" version of the map.

AFAIK, we will have whatever random magic sites are determined by the game settings.
