Re: Xmas Game Wish List
Oh, forgot to mention, TNG-Mod for SE4G!!! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif
BTW, I hear there's going to be some sort of MMO Version of Cosmic Encounter... wonder how that'll work out? "I'm the Vulch, I get to steal those Last 15 artifact cards that everyone else played this turn!" "No, I'm the Damper, you only get to take half of them!" "But wait! *I'M* the Freemic Discombobulator, everyone has to roll 10d6 and if it's odd then they take as many ships out of warp as the Vulch gets cards, and if they roll odd they have to put that many ships in!" http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif (Wish when I got the game that I got the real Version, not the watered-down back-to-basics pLastic-ships-that-barely-fit-in-their-carriers Avalon Hill Version though... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif ) |
Re: Xmas Game Wish List
For a WW2 game you could try the venerable WiF (world in flames). Great, and by great i mean really fun and also really umm big. And by big i mean a learning curve that looks like a rocket launching heading towards Alpha Centauri. I own it and haven't gotten beyond a few basic scenarios with a few super smart friends.
However, the possibilites are endless and adg (australian design group) has a beta of the nearly complete computer Version. That i'm buying the moment it hits shelves. Add that to my list. [ December 01, 2002, 06:55: Message edited by: Skulky ] |

Re: Xmas Game Wish List
Well looks like Christmas came early for me. I happened to be in a game store and found exactly the kind of game I've been looking for. A grand strategy type WW2 game. It's call Hearts of Iron. Now let's hope it is actually good.

Re: Xmas Game Wish List
I don't really want a new game at this time. I want model of the NX-01 Enterprise to put together. I told my wife about it and she said "I called around and checked on the web and they aren't in production yet." Don't know if she is telling the truth or just setting up for x-mass day. I think she is just tired of me and our oldest daughter playing with toys. Hay, what can I say but that they are only kids once and this is the only chance I have to be their play partner. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif I love them too much to let this chance go. Ahhh, getting mushy now, gotta change topics before someone thinks I have a heart. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif

Re: Xmas Game Wish List
My Xmas list:
- A year off work (paid). - Playstation 2 & SSX Tricky (coz strategy isn't everything=-) - A pair of Spider Jerusalem shades. - Someone to come round and make my computers work the way I want them to. - Lots of good reading material (Culture novels, Honor Harrington, something new and interesting) - Uhhh... that'll do. I don't want for much. [ December 03, 2002, 08:27: Message edited by: dogscoff ] |
