Re: For Honor, and no mercy !
i had advance knowledge of something like this. i don't know where i read it, but something like 'a war that would eventually involve all of human space'.
and he has said there will not be any space-faring aliens. i think he means 'independant space-faring aliens', since the 'cats are already spacepassengering. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif and spacepassengercolonizing [ March 17, 2004, 05:31: Message edited by: narf poit chez BOOM ] |

Oleg
The France analog is just past the Robespierre ("Rob S. Pierre". It is to weep.)Reign of Terror analog and the conniving Napoleon analog is just beginning his rise to power analog. Start of the Napoleonic wars is JUST where the series is. Don't forget how big an influence C.J. Forster's "Hornblower" series is on Mr Weber. And I, for one, can't wait. (I just like the word analog today.) |

Re: For Honor, and no mercy !
the book title is actually 'heirs of empire'
http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif its cool - anyone read it? |
Re: For Honor, and no mercy !
The Dahak trilogy can be found as a single compendium entitled Empire from the Ashes. I quite enjoyed those books as well, and he certainly left a lot to be done at the end, though I don't now if he has any intention of continuing in that universe. Seems kinda unlikely though.
There's also the 'March' series (March Upcountry, March to the Sea, March to the Stars), which is different again, but quite enjoyable. Any new book by Weber is something to look forward to, in my humble opinion http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon6.gif |

Someone beat me to it. the price of multitasking. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif I think I have heard something in the baen forums about another dahak universe book, but I'm not sure wether it was someone qouting DW or just speculation. But there's definitly room for a sequal. [ March 23, 2004, 19:26: Message edited by: narf poit chez BOOM ] |
