Re: The Senate of Dragon Country [server is up!]

Hey, I just noticed it's seventeen minutes and Mork hasn't entered his turn yet. Noticing that it's a 24 hour clock now, is Mork aware of this?

I'm having trouble connecting to server

n/m apparently it was the ravens-hawk.homelinux thing that wasn't working. the ip works fine.

Have we lost Jot and C'tis?

ZeWanker July 9th, 2006 02:05 PM

Re: The Senate of Dragon Country [server is up!]

From what I've seen shovah and morkilus pretty much have stopped playing, and Reverend Zombie has been in and out. I could be wrong I'm just judging by game activity of the top of my head.

Tyrant July 9th, 2006 03:52 PM

who is playing

Shovah, peacekeeper and castigated are definatly out. I kinda thought you, mork, and RZ were sporadic, but i wasn't sure. Despite the weirdness of this one, i am acutally enjoying it in a relaxed and low key sort of way.

Tyrant July 9th, 2006 04:07 PM

tough neutral and silly result

Right in the middle of my kingdom there was a provence with a half a dozen Vine Ogres, 20ish Hamma Dryads, 100 Vinemen a couple of K. Lions, a Lord of Fertility, AND a Great Mother loaded down with gems (sheesh!). Awhile back i tried to attrition it down with a large mob of gladiators and archers (see giant up and down wave in my army size), but that didn't really accomplish much. So finally i am mighty enough to take care of it and i send a decent army with lots of casters and my brand new fully equipped Air Queen to kick their butts. Guess what?... i won the battle, the mommy charmed my air queen, but then i enslaved the souls of both the air queen and the Great Mother, so now i have both of them as lobo slaves!

Wish July 9th, 2006 06:47 PM

Re: tough neutral and silly result

I wonder if that makes the air queen resommanable. I can garauntee that the magma firelord is no longer available, and I am rushing to get the gems necessary for an air queen...

Tyrant July 10th, 2006 03:48 AM

Re: tough neutral and silly result

I'm pretty sure she is not resommonable

KissBlade July 10th, 2006 11:54 AM

Re: tough neutral and silly result

Just wondering, how many people are actually still active in this game???

Reverend Zombie July 10th, 2006 02:03 PM

Re: tough neutral and silly result

I am. Missed one turn recently, but I think it was the first time I staled.

active players

There are 5 of us still playing regularly, and Jot may be playing sometimes, not sure about that though.

Wish July 11th, 2006 12:33 AM

Re: active players

I haven't seen jot do anything for a while. tempted to wipe them up.

Morkilus July 11th, 2006 01:18 PM

Re: active players

Sorry guys, I thought this game died a long time ago. The voting scheme seemed broken, so I couldn't make war with Man even though I'd been sending threatening messages.

Wish July 11th, 2006 01:22 PM

Re: active players

I say lets let this devolve into a game with normal politics... since the senate thing isn't working.

KissBlade July 11th, 2006 02:15 PM

Re: active players

I'd say if Mork is interested in playing again, let him absorb the unactive nations so his nation will be caught up with ours.

Wish July 11th, 2006 08:38 PM

Re: active players

I am opposed to that since my nation has been stiffled by an inability to expand for AGES. I mean TC and pythium got a pretty big cut, but I got jotunhiem in the way.

KissBlade July 12th, 2006 03:18 AM

Re: active players

Hmm... well it certainly doesn't make sense to have all the inactives just hold up the territories nor for the two largest nations to take those provinces. Perhaps jot, marignon and Vanheim can come to an agreement with just splitting the provinces of the inactives?

Morkilus July 12th, 2006 12:34 PM

Re: active players

Bring it on, then, Wish. Bwargh!

I'm way too far behind to be much of a threat, but I'll give you a battle or two (maybe). I'll be back to play tonight.

Wish July 13th, 2006 01:04 AM

Re: active players

i've been choked the whole game, let me muster up a force of some sort.

Wish July 15th, 2006 05:35 AM

Re: active players

which air queen was it that lost her commandership? If it was thuella, then she is definately resummonable, since I nabbed her. (If not, I am guessing all the air queens are now taken)

KissBlade July 15th, 2006 01:18 PM

Re: active players

It was Thuella if I recall, Queen of Thunder right? and DARN! Nice job but if I knew she was resummonable I would've taken the risk and tried to summon her >_>.

shovah July 15th, 2006 01:55 PM

Re: active players

I dont think you would have got her, pretty sure marignon casts before TC.

Tyrant July 15th, 2006 02:15 PM

The New Adventures of Thuella, Queen of Thunder

Heh, well guys, it's like this...
The very next turn after I enslaved the mind of my charmed Queen, and before i could build the lab nessicary to restore her mind, the patroling force she was assigned to found a giant scout lurking in the bushes. She flew forward to kill him, and was immediatly skragged by friendly fire from a dozen shortbowmen! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif

KissBlade July 15th, 2006 02:29 PM

Re: The New Adventures of Thuella, Queen of Thunde

LoL, how an air queen dies to a dozen shortbowmen is just baffling by itself ... Jotun just killed an air queen with a scout =).

Wish July 15th, 2006 03:12 PM

Re: The New Adventures of Thuella, Queen of Thunde

haha, thats really weird.... however even if thuella was summonable while a version of her was enslaved... she could always be gift of reasoned back up... and thus have two thuellas. (though the GoR'd one might have a random name)

kind of the same way you can have more via wishes.

shovah July 15th, 2006 04:13 PM

Re: The New Adventures of Thuella, Queen of Thunde

yea, wishing for loads of something is fun (hmm, maybe demon lords would be good targets for wish)

OMG THOSE STUPID TRITONS. I JUST TOOK province 68 and the tritons invade it. Now I'm forced to take the damn thing AGAIN. Are you kidding me? >_<

Re: The New Adventures of Thuella, Queen of Thunde

heh, yeah, thems the breaks. I have an amber clan sitting south of me, I've been wanting to take them out, but my equiped assassins are not having any luck

KissBlade July 17th, 2006 12:50 PM

Re: The New Adventures of Thuella, Queen of Thunde

On a side note, there's still one more air queen to be nabbed isn't there?

Wish July 17th, 2006 12:52 PM

Re: The New Adventures of Thuella, Queen of Thunde

you could always try. I can't garauntee it.

KissBlade July 19th, 2006 09:02 PM

I notice you sent an army to 68 even after I warned I would be sending mine there Senator Augustus ...

Tyrant July 20th, 2006 11:40 AM

Re: The New Adventures of Thuella, Queen of Thunde

yea, dangit. Actually i was headed there the first time you went, but i staled that turn, then saw it go neutral and sent the army, then saw your post and decided to not to change it. I can't believe that rottten little spectre beat me http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/Sick.gif

Looks like the race to Mictlan's capital is on!

On a side note, Pythium really took a hit with indies o_O.

KissBlade August 2nd, 2006 03:32 AM

The Good Senator Black Wind must warn Pythium that I do consider Wrathful Skies ... a hostile action ... I would hope such enchantments are refrained from in the future or wild hunts may start occuring ...

Wish August 2nd, 2006 03:47 AM

Re: host status

I agree, such an action is hostile to the entire senate, and should not be tolerated

KissBlade August 2nd, 2006 09:27 AM

Re: host status

My own country men is slain from lightning by a malicious Senator. If such a spell is not dispelled this very turn, I shall call a vote to declare the empire of Pythium rogue!

Furthermore, I demand a vote that Pythium pays 250 gold each for reparations damages incurred to all nations for such a spell! I vote "yay!" upon this bill!.

Re: host status

ZeWanker is that a "yay" or "nay" because I believe there is only 6 active senators left and 4 votes should be enough to cast it into the majority.

ZeWanker August 2nd, 2006 07:01 PM

Re: host status

Yay

Tyrant August 2nd, 2006 10:13 PM

I vote nay :>.

Furthurmore, i insist that you need a full majority to pass a motion. I would ,however, support a motion to eject the sleeping dragons from the senate.

FYI the enchantment in question is a responce to numerous anonymous attacks upon the health and well being of my beloved subjects by parties "unknown" . (cough...tienchi...cough..cough)

KissBlade August 2nd, 2006 10:23 PM

Re: Vote

I vote yay for a motion to eject the sleeping dragons from the senate as well. Second, you should at least bring forth proof before accusing me so wantonly of any attacks (which save for YOUR invasion of a province I had already taken) I had no such part of. Thirdly, I am investing a significant amount to dispel your enchantment but I would call upon the council to take hostile actions if such enchantments is not removed at once!
