http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/thr...44551-temp.jpg That last Water pick is from a random. The random is common 100?WESN, or one 100% chance for one of Water, Earth, Astral or Nature. Nagini are 250 gp capital-only commanders of Late Age Patala (monkey people), and in Middle Age, they are national summon of Bandar Log, Conj. 4, WWE, 25 gems, with no national mages capable of casting the summon. Their best mages do have 110%WESN random (one 100% and one 10% chance for getting one of those paths; the randoms are not linked) so there's a slight possibility of getting WE caster who could eventually make a Water Bracelet. Also, as you probably noticed, this picture is of slightly higher quality. The game looks much better than this, and I realized how ugly the other pictures are, so I made this picture of slightly better quality (and many times bigger). |
Re: Screenies!
Wow. The Nagini is just... nice. Versatile, yet not overpowered. I love the fact that they get so many options. Probably the best argument I've seen yet to play Patala -- just getting to monkey around (pun intended) with that unit.
Thank you. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif |

EA Abysian rec screen isn't interesting, because you already now almost all the units. It'd have been cruel to post just that, because you'd see that the new demonbreds are armed with axes, and that there ARE bigger Abysians, but wouldn't have known about the differences (hp, fire shield, good prot for EA, etc). But if you really want, one EA Abysian rec screen coming up... http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/thr...44570-temp.jpg Random tidbit of the post: Shift-click now adds 10 units to the recruitment queue. |

Hmm, a demon killing blood mage natarajaish titan.
Fascinating. So Endo, how about my request? The winged titan? |
Re: Screenies!
Very nice! I'm very curious as to how the starting gear stacks up against stuff that can be crafted and how effective she is against the various Blood summons. But I generally love the idea of an "anti-Blood SC" SC Pretender. She's purty. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Re: Screenies!
I'd dig on just having the army selection screens for the three ages, just to be able to see the names for each era. But perhaps that's giving away too much too soon...

Dam 8, Att 1, Def 1, Length 3; Magic; the effect against demons isn't mentioned but I take it's 2x. #dt_holy deals triple damage to both undead and demons, and #dt_demon deals double damage against demons. And yes, they are new modding commands. Apotropaic Trident: Dam 10, Att 0, Def 0, Length 4; Magic; special effect: Halt Demon (no further description given) Crown: Head (although it isn't mentioned) Prot 8, Def 0, Enc 0 Skull Necklace Body (again, not mentioned) Prot 10, Def 0, Enc 0 As sometimes noticed in Dom2, there're still a few weird things with how the equipment works. It seems the empty hands of multi-handed creatures aren't considered at all when items are equipped. I think it's a bug, so I'll file a report. |
Re: Screenies!
Cool stuff.

Re: Screenies!
My favorite assassin is a god. Lord of the Night. Big (lots of hit points), magic (blood and death), flies, and he summons help for the assassinations.
|
Re: Screenies!
Wow. That sounds verah nace.
Edit: Wasn't he in Dom II? I'm waiting on a replacement CD so I can't check, but I thought that he was perhaps a Machaka pretender? |
Re: Screenies!
Mictlan pretender, though Gandalf's liking goes back to Dom I where for example Pangaea and some other nations could also get it.
LotN is stealthy, but you needed the Black Heart to make him an assasin. |

If you hadn't been so awesomely cooperative in posting all these screenies so far Endo, I'd call you a tease. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
(Psssst. Give us something Machaka. Preferably spider-y.) |
Re: Screenies!

About Machaka - there isn't much to give. They now have FEDN randoms. Sorceress has the new, interesting 0? random - 10% chance of FEDN, only FED for most. They have some more heroes, but I've kept heroes mostly off-limits. There's also the new pretender, but as it's the ONLY new national pretender Machaka gets, I won't post it. Not the description, at least. However, it's one of the best-looking pics I've seen in Dom3 yet, so I'll post a picture. It's a screenshot straigth from the map view, BTW, and not resized outside the game (I used </> to resize the commander icons into as big as I could), pasted into Gimp and saved as a jpg. http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/thr...44651-temp.jpg |
Re: Screenies!
You are a cruel, cruel man. Both for your mention of the -really- good things and for your refusal to post the descrip.

Re: Screenies!
C'mon, Endo. No offerings for today? We've got to get at least one new screenie a day. I'm still hunkering for something Carrion Woods if there's something neat in there for me. Or that unit recruitment screen for Early R'lyeh would also be a hoot. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

This is the only new thing of Carrion Woods that comes to mind. Late Age Pangaea has few new things as well, but Carrion Woods doesn't exist as a nation as it used to.

Re: Screenies!
I'd like to see some late era R'lyeh units. Something new about Ermor or more Enigma of Steel -related stuff works too.
